[COLOR="Teal"]Totally did not see that. I was talking about these then:

Oh man I looked at the group of Sakuya figurines in one of those pictures and I really want most of them :<
Also I like how these have the bootleg picture versions as well, because I totally bought these when I was in China:

I honestly have to say, for bootleg versions, the Chinese versions still look pretty damn good, I was hunting this store for like an hour before I finally found the BRS one. They just started the sword versions and were running out of the cannon ones, I think I bought the last one in the stores. The Marisa one is also really really good, despite being red, but I sort of ignored that.

Bootlegs are okay as long as you don't intend on being all srsbsns and showing-off your figures, I guess. I mean, if it's valuable and of worth in your own eyes, I guess that's what counts. Honestly, I'd probably scream my head off if any of my figures are bootlegs. I check my stuff carefully before buying, and I get really annoyed when it comes to dust too. Probably getting one of those IKEA display-cases.. one day, with slightly dimmed UV lights on top so that my figurines will be protected from dust. What I can't protect is de-coloration. =_=

I started just barely 3-4 months ago, but I think Spidey and BTA's done it for a lot longer than I have. I usually buy non-posable figurines though, because I hate seeing joints. :/ If I do buy one, it'd be from Revoltech. Hmm.

Also, Mirai-chan will have her own figma figurine very soon. Pre-orders starts at or near the end of this month, HNNNNNNNNNNNNNG-

PS: Don't like how her legs are shaped, but that's okay, cute enough.

I've been buying stuff for about a year now. I mainly stick to Nendoroids/Figmas/Revoltechs, since I can't afford much else. If I end up getting a job next year I'll probably get a non-poseable every-so-often, but I think I like poseables better.

Yeah I just keep them all in my bookshelf. I mean who do I really have/want to show it off to anyways? I do have real figurines I buy from the only big con around me, but that's about it. It's seriously too expensive if I really want to be picky about it. And yeah, dust and decoloration are bad, I'm pretty sure some of the bootleg stuff worsens quicker than the originals, but most of the stuff seem to be in pretty good condition overall.

Agreed. Do not like joints and crap like that. All of mine are non posable.

I hate to break this to you, but there's no way you're finding anything by Christmas. These things take a while to be made/released, and I haven't even seen anything of that character announced yet (the show hasn't even been airing for 2 months, and IIRC it's not adapted from anything). There is a smallish poseable figure of his mech, Tauburn, but even that won't be out till March.

Thanks for helping BTA. I need to try to find this one and if not that one, then this will have to do

Oooh, I'm jealous. I hope she likes it. :3
EDIT: Oh, didn't see that "this one" had a link. I found it here, but it might be a bit pricy (and the shipping time is a little scary). Then again, your alternative isn't much cheaper, I believe.

Could always look into GKs [Garage Kits], some are pre-painted, so it's easy to put 'em together. Some might be pre-assembled too. But they tend to be a bit hefty in price, we're talking about x2 or even x3 that of regular figures. Standard GKs are around 100USD+. Garage Kits are basically unlicense, unofficial.. figures that peoples makes at home (lolintheirgarage), pretty much.

You'd probably have to try looking for it, because I don't even know what anime that is.

Anime's Star Driver; the character's name is Takuto.
I'm not sure if that's exactly the best description for a GK though, since IIRC if you want your stuff shown at places like WonFes, it has to be licensed.

If he's doing that, it's an entirely different story. Even to a lot of the communities out there that collects figurines, I don't recall of any that would look down upon another for collecting a GK. But yeah, maybe that wasn't the best definition for a GK.. Hmmm.

Huh? I didn't say anything about looking down upon others; I just mean that there's licensed GKs too.

Uhhh.. are we talking GKs that becomes official figurines? I'm not sure I'm understanding what you meant. I know for some figurines, they started out as GKs, but become official figurines for purchase later on (in mass). Mass-production and all.

Was just being unnecessarily nitpicky about this part, is all. Garage Kits aren't necessarily unlicensed/unofficial, though you are right in that some get released as PVC figures later on.

Updating this to say that I now own a BRS Nendoroid. Finally received it today from my friend, because she's the one getting the shipments in, etc. Anyways, pretty happy with my purchase. Was a real bargain from AmiAmi before they took it off their site. :/ Forgot how much I paid for it, but without s&h was definitely LESS than 15 USD. Came with a 50 minute DVD thing too, might check that out eventually, but feeling extremely lazy. The Nendoroid came with too many exchangeable parts, which in a way.. kinda makes me rage. Because it's going to be annoying trying to keep track of my parts. I doubt I'll buy another Nendo, though I do like the quality of my 1st Nendo purchase from GSC.
Also probably going to make a website to keep track of my own figurines, as well as giving small reviews. Hopefully won't become a cluster-f`uck.
