GameSpot Wrote:One detail that was revealed was that the Call of Duty series will once again have a fresh first-person installment late next year. "We will launch a new first-person action title during the back half of 2011," Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said. This sentiment was later echoed by Activision COO Thomas Tippl, who said that "Next year's Call of Duty will be a first-person shooter."

Come the pineapple on.

Oh, so they announced it a week before Black Ops came out.

Makes it even more hilarious.

Really? Quality sequels, and you're calling them out as bad?

TF2
>Only one sequel. I don't see a TF3 or TF4, don't I?

SC
>One of the best RTS games ever, and made by BLIZZARD who cares about quality not quantity

NOW LET'S LOOK AT CALL OF DUTY.

#

*
o 1.1.1 Call of Duty
o 1.1.2 Call of Duty 2
o 1.1.3 Call of Duty 3
o 1.1.4 Call of Duty: World at War
* 1.2 Cold War
o 1.2.1 Call of Duty: Black Ops
* 1.3 Modern Age
o 1.3.1 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
o 1.3.2 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
o 1.3.3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

# 2 Expansions

* 2.1 Call of Duty: United Offensive

# 3 Console and hand held games

* 3.1 Call of Duty: Finest Hour
* 3.2 Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
* 3.3 Call of Duty: Roads to Victory
* 3.4 Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts
* 3.5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized
* 3.6 Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies 1 and 2
* 3.7 Call of Duty: The War Collection

There's a difference between TF2 and SC2 and making over 9000 Call of Duty games.

I think that was Corn's point all along.

I got the idea that TF2 and Starcraft didn't require multiple sequels.

I was reading it as if he was comparing TF2 and SC2 to Call of Duty sequels. My bad on not interpreting it correctly.

People should stop bitching. Just because a Call of Duty games comes out every year doesn't change the fact that the $60 buy in is worth it in value. I'll buy the new one every year. I'll also enjoy spending hours of time online and whatever other modes they pack in.

To buy all the CoD games assuming you're avid enough to purchase at release date, we're looking at nearly $1,000 not including tax. Eeeeeeeeeh no thanks. At least it's not as big an offender as sports games. Good god those are indeed a dime a dozen and they can never run out of ideas because there's always new teams/player rosters.

60 dollars a year comes down to about 16 pennies a day. It really is not that much.

You're what is wrong with video games nowadays.

This goes for everyone who eats up every single generic brown 'n' bloom FPS.

I don't see what the big deal is.

My younger bro got into some leaked info about CoD-BA and said the gameplay is Modern Warfare 2 recycled with a new label slapped on the box.
