NEXON needs to stop talking about pirate and using pirate images.

^Unless it's the same GM or two GMs coincidentally mentioned talk like a pirate day, two different GMs acknowledging talk like a pirate day and announcing it = nexon acknowledging talk like a pirate day and telling GMs to hint at it = pirates on talk like a pirate day?

I don't really know about this, september 19th is pretty close and Pirates seems like the kind of thing you'd want to announce far in advance, like 4th job. Every version announced fourth Job's arrival at least a month in advance. So far, every version has done the same for Pirates... why should we break that pattern? Granted we don't have to follow their lead, but this would be highly unusual.

I still don't know why they still didn't open Tespia for the next patch.. did they abandone the "Content Testing project"?

I think it was really useful for us because we could find and report bugs BEFORE the patch got released on GMS, making it less buggy.

Maybe next patch is another Masteria expansion and they don't want anyone to try it in advance? (Higly doubt)

I think they should let us test pirates before releasing them on the official servers, because our version will be (maybe??) the first one getting them in english, and there may be a lot of typos/glitches.

Well, that's true, but they did some emergency patches after that, and they almost always fixed at least SOME of the bugs.

Actually, I believe HT was gonna come out that patch too, but then they decided to not to release it 'cause of the hacker situation back then. (Multiple Summoning hack)

Uh. Of course it's real. No one is debating that.

Obviously we're getting Pirates. The riddle here is WHEN. This isn't by any stretch an announcement of release date, it is a tease or a joke. It might be that they're planning on releasing that day, it might be that they're going to announce when they'll be releasing then, it could just be a sick joke because they know them mentioning the word "Pirate" will make us clamor to talk about it more, thus increasing interest in their product.

And even if they're planning to release that day, that doesn't even mean a damn thing. Don't forget that Showa was supposed to be released on Showa Day but got pushed back a week for some reason. Content patch release plans are not set in stone and any number of things can lead Nexon to decide to put off releasing them until a later date.

Talk like a pirates day doesn't mean we get pirates. Until a GM or Nexon employee says "Maplestorys pirate class is coming out on the 19th of september 2008" or something along those lines, I'll remain scpetical.

For all we know, it could just be a event around the day, I've played other games that have events based around the day.
