Everybody i know used it. I prefer torrents too but limewire was really simple and there were all the songs you can think of.

Ironically, I downloaded and installed it for a survey thing a couple of weeks ago.

And then a few days later my friend says Limewire is sued. What a joke. I removed it quickly after, even though I never ran it.

I remember the last time I used Limewire (2000?) it was filled with troll tracks. I wanna download a song and get some stupid advertisement and the rest of the track is blank space to make it match the actual track length.

Who remembers Kazaa? I liked that more than Limewire.

I don't mind people buying music, actually. Even if I don't, that's more reason for someone out there to do it and support the artists.

Most of the money from iTunes and such goes to the recording industry anyway, not the artists themselves. It's really quite sad.

Gnutella was the shi't. eMule took over later. KaZaA was awesome until the RIAA went after it. That was the end for centralized P2P programs.

Yeah, eMule was okay, but I always found it pretty bloated, so didn't use it much. By the time the RIAA was after KaZaA, I was already done using it.

But this does remind me about back when I was downloading Love Hina off Limewire taking like a full day and a half per episode download.
