Cons:
- I think that the message was lost when the first fireworks started shooting out of her chest. I mean, I started laughing. It kind of made me not care what it was about. There were fireworks, OUT OF HER CHEST. Too funny in my opinion. Maybe I'm insensitive, but still, couldn't it have been done better to not make me laugh?
On me watching this video: I only did because it was shot in Hungary. [/COLOR]

katy perry is hella sexy
Firework is a nice change from some of her sluttier songs, such as California Girls. Not that I have a problem with any of that, but it's nice to see her making somewhat more personal and meaningful music.

What I expected: Perry's usual exceedingly standard pop tunes
What I got: A Perry song I like that in its original form (not a mash-up). I'm a sucker for strings with dance.

I'm typically not a fan of Katy Perry, but I somewhat liked that song. Only part that caught me off guard was the fireworking of that pregnant lady lol. Yeah, I love to walk in on people having babies and just stare at the wonderful explosions...

This, completely. Though I personally liked the chestworks from everyone in the video; it was a neat effect, and I had no problem fully understanding the lyrics and watching the video at the same time.

Reading through some of these other replies, I don't understand how the whole "fireworks shooting out from chest" thing can even be used against Katy/the video. I sincerely doubt that her intention with this was to be funny/weird, or whatever. I can't think of a better place for the fireworks to shoot out of than the peoples' chests.

It just felt too subjectively Narmy with a touch of Narm charm; if I wasn't laughing I'd be raisin an eyebrow.
