I sprained my ankle
#1
...while attempting to "slide" down the steps on a staircase at school. Yay me for trying to act cool and failing horribly.

Post similar stories of your own, people!

...please? Eek

Clarification: "Sliding" on my shoes, that is. Basically letting each foot slide off of a step all the way down.

p.s. Yes, it's still hurting as I type this. I hope it's not fractured...

Ouch. That reminds me when I was in Tae Kwon Do and I had to do jump-round kicks or jump-spin round kicks or whatever the hell it was... I jumped up, spun around, kicked, and then landed on my ankle sideways. I couldn't walk for about two weeks... I the only way for me to get to school was to walk. >_>

I sprained my ankle pretty badly playing basketball once.

But that's not really embarrassing lol.

I'll tell you about some guy. Me and my friends were playing air hockey. So this kid who knows my friends, I don't know him, plays me. The guy tries to do some special move. By hitting the hockey puck so hard against the walls I won't be quick enough to block it.

He does it and once it hits my hand thing, the puck flies off the hockey table and hits this girl who's sitting nearby like 10 feet away LOL. He gets the puck, laughs off a quick apology, and does the same move. AND HITS THE GIRL AGAIN LOL. It was so funny, the girl looked so angry and then made an okay face and said it's okay LOLLLLL.

Was pretty embarrassing for him.

In my volleyball class, I was practicing serves when I hit the ball real hard and it went flying... off course. The ball tore the wind and went zooming at a group of girls standing and chatting at the other corner of the field. I watched as it curves down at a very steep angle towards the middle of the crowd, trying to predict when and where it will land, hoping it wouldn't hit anyone. There was this girl bending down doing something, in a matter of a split second, my brain solved the equations for the ball's trajectory and ... no way. It really landed square on the back of her head, knocking her unconscious. People looked around to see what was going on, they had no idea since the ball went pretty high up.

I wasn't sure whether to be proud or embarrassed when I tried to apologize.

Hmm...I was thinking more along the lines of stories where you try to show off or act all cool but end up failing. Hard.

But hey, I guess stories about injuries and whatnot work too.

show off and hurt yourself in the process?
roger.

Baseball: 9th grade- try swinging with my opposite hand (right handed, so i tried swinging as if i were left handed); hit the ball, bat contiunes to fly and hits the back my head; get to first base, but have to be subbed out.
former job: Target, as a cart-pusher; was riding a group of several carts outside during my shift, and was kicking like mad; wind blows, blowing carts off course; proceed to run up to first cart to get it to stop, which it did... 8 other carts then slammed into the back of it.

When I was little me and my cousins were playing outside and I was like ''I'm gonna climb onto the shed, run then jump off and land on that car over there!''.

I ran, jumped off, and landed right at the front of the car in a way that I hit my young marbles on the grill. I laughed my ass off so much I didn't even notice the pain.

It's not playing backwards. The footage the GIF was made from was played backwards. So for the footage itself, it's backwards but for the GIF it's forwards.

Confusing I know.

I just like making simple things complicated.
