What are Buccaneers like after BBP?
#1
I'm still deciding between making a hero and a bucc, I know pretty much enough about heroes so far but I know around nothing about Buccaneers.
I have a few questions about Buccs that I'd like to be answered Smile

1)Do buccaneers still have invincibility frames (after BBP)? are they any different than what they used to be before Big-Bang patch? what skills have invincibility frames?
2)Which major changes were made to the buccaneer job skills after BBP?
*Optional for a bucc to answer* 3)Would you reccomend me to make a buccaneer just for the fun of it?
4)Do Buccs have better/equal to/worse DPM than heroes? if better/worse then by how much?
Please state regular training and bossing.

Thanks in advance Smile

1 a few, not like pre though. Screwpunch lost all of it's frames aside from the initial rush (like how warriors have I-frames right now). only Backspin has noticable after animation i-frames. Barrage retains it's iframes as well as demo.

2 there were lots: including 6 mob screw punch and spammable dragon strike. Bossing is better due to semi faster demo, long s trans and major watk boosts.

3 Buccs are good for fun, but i can't tell cause it's been a while since i've played a marauder/lower pirate. Plus BB may have changed their playstyle as well.

4. DPM cannot be determined due to the fact that BB patch makes DPM/S more dependant on how good your equips are instead of crit class= beast.

Thanks for answering, and assuming both a hero and a bucc are funded with ~10b mesos, which would do better DPM-wise?

Like i said, DPM/S is REALLY determined more by equips so if they have equal funding, it's more dependent on who's equips are cheaper for a better damage increase. I'm trying not to say x is better than Y because i don't know that much (and i don't think there is anyone who can outright determine those; Basil tables are not accurate in the slightest).

People won't get out of the DPM/S mindset and will bandwagon to a character with OMG HAX DPM/S I play that now!

Really it's up to you for which character you'd like to play. I believe Heroes MAY hae a slight advantage (as they had before, but information in this post is inaccurate mostly). I'm just going with my buccaneer because i already have one and i'm too lazy to make another character to 120 (already doing that with my older bandit).

Do you want the best small mobbing power in the game with no support and high survivability or great 1v1 and large mobbing power with amazing support and decent survivability?

Speaking from experience:
1) Only continuous invincibility possible is barrage>uncharged sp>barrage without hesitation (you only have JUST enough time to turn around for SP). Demolition on its own is good enough, invincible about 95% of the time while holding it down.
2) More spammy. Insanely spammy. Elbow is spammable, screw punch is useless, DS is the only skill you should use during training.
3) Very fun at 4th job due to consistent max speed/jump and dragon strike, crazy boring any time beforehand, up to you.
4) I could only compare to this hero in our guild who has insane gear, so I couldn't give you a good answer.

*scratches head*

So the comparison is........ Hero vs Bucc?

If so, how are Buccs amazing support?

I guess he means the rare case in which "Speed Infusion" or "Time Leap" will be wanted or needed.
