You let a pokemon ingame 'go to sleep', and they appear in the dream world online. You can grow berries, and catch pokemon not native to Isshu which you can transfer back to your game.

@HoM: when you add people to your pal pad who also connect to the dream world(and they also add you) you can go to their houses Big Grin
@Stephen: When the pokemon goes to sleep, it connects to the global link which is a website, you have a dream world id given to you in the game and you link your GL account to the game.
so it goes like this Pokemon put to sleep > is available in dream world>you go into the dream forest you get a pokemon>you close dream world> you wake up your pokemon in the game and the pokemon you got in the dream world will appear in the high link forest.
