That was a large desert at 2:39-2:40. It is kind of bizzare seeing snow covered areas so close to a hot desert.

Those ghast were HUGE, my friend reffered to them as "The spirits of dead Zeppelins." But if you had to.. I'd guess a bow and arrow maybe? My friend said the Gold looking ore blocks that break like glass in Hell are used for making Magic Spells, I don't know where he got this information, but wouldn't that be awesome.

As I recall, arrows unload in a very short range. I want to say within one chunk, so a radius of 16 or so x/y blocks would be the maximum range of a Bow. This should not be too hard to fix, but it will make killing Ghast with arrows a pain in the ass.

Has anyone thought that the Ghasts might be invincable? What would they drop anyway...? Besides theres so much danger the chance of killing it over non lava/fire is almost nil. Not that i wouldnt try mind you.

In Notch Twitter News Oh nuts, I can't get the portal to work in SMP in time. I'll add a flag to start in either normal or Nether mode so you can try it in smp Yep, redstone appears to be working better in SMP now Health and other fancy features for multiplayer are coming with the beta release. This is not the beta release. Minecarts and boats still won't work well in SMP after this update. But the tracks will. Biomes are now properly synched in multiplayer, and rails no longer cause data sending loops. Guess what.. Furnaces should now face the opposite direction the player is facing when you plant them. -- And so do stairs now. They will never auto-turn ever again! You know that bridge mod thing.. Anyway, idk why but atm i'm hyped for minecraft, since my laptop went boom i made a new world on my desktop and i'm having so much fun, made a room with floor, walls and top of obsidian, gonna be the room for my portal. ^_^

One known bug currently. But I've got a feeling there might be more after the release, so I'll stay up a while. =) So 3 pm PST, 10 pm GMT, or midnight his time is when it goes live, apparently. Let the lag begin....

Also, i really can't wait got my bow arrow and everything i need to explore the slip ready Also used hours on collecting more obsidian x,x will create a small 'house' around my portal entrance so i wont be blown to pieces ASAP i enter in the future.Any of you got anything planned? |
