All things Star War related except movies 4, 5, and 6 are disappointments.

Well, yes, somehow, but I mean like really really disappointment. Like TOTAL crap.
The other ones are good, not as good as the original saga, but at least somehow good.
Also, Battlefront is Epic Win.
I liked TFU 1 and was looking forward to the second one, but with these reviews, I don't know...
Also, there's Assassin's Creed Brotherhood coming.

never even watched the Star Wars movies so I don't think I'm missing out on anything with this lackluster release.

I know an Editor from IGN and he said this game definitely underwhelms.

try renting the game and see if YOU like it, THEN make your own assessment of the game.

No, there was -ONE- great StarWars game, Jedi Knight 3 - Jedi Accademy, made by Raven Software (you know 'm), from 2003... It was based on an improved Quake3 engine, with suberb multiplayer modes like CTF and 1vs1 Arena.

CTF (Capture The Flag) was awesome, you had normal weapons AND light sabers AND force powers combined in one game! Big Grin

Great things:
- See a rocket coming towards you? No problem! Use force push to turn it around and send it to someone else!
- See someone with an capured flag flying in the air jumping from one platform to the other? No problem! Use force grip (the darth vader move Tongue) in mid air, grab the dude and on release push him into the 300 meters deep death pit!

You had a LOT of force powers to choose from, and you could also customize their modes (mode1/2/3) with different effects.

Too bad there is no such thing anymore...

StarWars CTF had just an epic gameplay:

The opinion is from many reviewers, not just 1. That's why I am looking for your opinions, dear southperry users.

You miss the point. You shouldn't let people judge things for you before playing it yourself, even if the oppinion is seamingly unanimous. You need to decide for yourself what you like or dislike and not let someone else do that for you.

Fixed. Battlefront was nothing more than a Star Wars themed Battlefield 1942/Vietnam. Basically, Star Wars games are good when Lucas Arts leaves the actual game to another company and just throws in a good storyline.

Gotta mention siege! I used to be halfway decent at that actually... There was nice mod for JK3 that fixed up jedis (ie. allowed you to block other effectively, force push knocked over non-jedis that were running) and changed around some guns (and brought the thermal detonator to it's former glory!). IIT it was called Movie Battles II. Can't remember though, haven't played in forever.

Also, I'd like to point out that TFU1 wasn't rated very well either. So, even if 2 is rated poorly, you might like it.

Well, there's a reason reviews exist. I just want your opinion, I will rent it in Blockbuster next Monday that is 2 for 1 day, along with Kirby's Epic Yarn. (Or maybe today that is weekend, depends on the price)

I don't care if Battlefront is just a Star Wars themed Battlefield 1942/Vietnam. It has Star Wars in it and it's awesome.

The lack of mention for the Rogue Squadron series makes me sad ;_;
