JapanMS removes 2x EXP tickets

Solarboy Wrote:The fact that KMS nerfed family rep from 2x to 1.2x(?) Should be enough proof.

How is x2 cards and family rep the same thing? One is in the cash shop one is in the game i don't see that as proof.

Meta is talking about x2 cards not x2 buff

I miss the expanded world tour.

And using Pelly the Pelican to cheat world traveling. (Its name might not be Pelly, I just play Animal Crossing)

No, because they probably like seeing people earn equips/levels instead of paying their way to them.

NEXON Japan has always been crazy with the "lets mess things up" outlookRolleyes I don't I can name one thing JMS has gotten that hasn't been tampered with. Main towns don't count.

How do you know? They already had it why remove it now? It shouldn't have been put in the first place if this is what they intended from the start. The damage is already done

I said probably. I don't know why they did it. Not like I work for Nexon Japan.

Actually, JMS nerfed much things these days. But some of those removals actually make the things better. They didn't like how people abused with the use of Karma Scissors to make everything that was untradable into tradable, they come in special events really sometimes, like CS surprises or something.
The same goes to Vega Spell. They just don't like their game to have everything overpowered tradable or scrolls with a different rate.
.
The game itself was way much dependant to CS. Also remember the fact they made Evans, Dual Bladers, Arans, Adventurers and Cygnus share the same cash shop storage, because players were complaining, and for the first time, they forgot their money eating hunger to hear the players at least once.
.
About knuckle scrolls? I don't remember this, i don't check FM very oftenly, but when i do, i see a plenty of those around.
The occasion i remember Justin ranting about those scrolls was when pirates were implemented and how hard was it to find those through owl, since these only came from specific gachapon machines with a rate...
.
Also, the Golden Temple was NERFED in GMS. Although JMS changed the KMS one from a level 25 - 70 into a 25-120 one with the reverse town. GMS nerfed the Ravana system there, making orbs expire and only one per slot, which is awfully bad since you need to have 5 free slots for each ravana fight.
.
They've changed pretty much things there. Evans being different, but not requiring NX to be decently leveled, like GMS has done.
Dual Bladers not having CS books, but only in game ones that drop from monsters, not from a single ridiculous boss of a level 80 PQ that barely drops them.
.
Nerfing Shaolin Temple? They've actually did. But unless you like 16k touch monsters, or 300k HP monsters with half of the HP of an Oblivion monster, it's not really a big deal.
Other than that, there's only CWK, nerfed in some parts, but with more equipment, commonly found 4-5 attack capes obtained from the PQ, BF with 7k touch damage, and other high leveled weapons that barely go for 1m in FM, in Kaede.
.
.
About the other rants, not being really specific. But these made JMS sound like a real piece of pomegranate, when after every patch that you dislike, you just go "This pomegranate is trolling me, i hate it, i'd never touch it again because of this and it's so ridiculous that i feel bad for playing it." but keep playing it is not really something good.
JMS has tried to make it's own game in the past years, although it has done bad moves, it still helped a lot, specifically in the NX area.
.
But really, if you don't like the game, keep ranting about the company, and every single patch you don't like, say you'd never play it again but suddenly comes back, why are you playing it in first place?
JMS is not the retarded MS version with sluggish updates, retarded administrators, and idiotic players some people tend to steriotype.
This is my opinion, you're not obligated to agree.

The funny part about the Ravana Orbs is that if you enter the temple but not the boss room, then exit, you get back all 5 orbs permanent.

I can't say anything bad about JMS other than some of the new storylines they come up with is sorta dumb. Evans vs Dual Blade I mean come on-.-. Anyway the only real MS' I hate are Taiwan MS and China MS. Those two are like a private server with everything handed down to them. They have mass amount of hackers, their Pink Bean timer is longer than the normal. I think the Halloween masks from Taiwan last year are a prime example of how broken Taiwan is. I mean really +9 Stat all +54 wp and m atk masks? No thank you>.>.

I haven't read the whole thread but after reading the first page it seems that you all forgot that when Big Bang came out in KMS. They reduced the exp bonus from family buffs. Of course they didn't reduce exp from cards but that's cuz they dont have 2exp cards in korea. It is just logical that any version with 2exp cards either reduce the exp bonus they give or totally take them out. Since it's nexon we are talking about, i foresee they will just reduce the exp bonus that cards give, or maybe they will make them way more expensive?.

JMS could also have taken cards out so players would get used to training without them before Big Bang.

You can hardly call that a nerf.

No, no one has forgotten that. But 2x rep and 2x cards are two completely different systems even if they do the same thing. Rep is easy to get for anyone and free to spend, 2x cards are something you buy with someone's real money. So, no, it's not logical to think they would take out 2x cards just because of Big Bang.

CarrionCrow Wrote:Ok let's put it this way. Will they loose money by taking it out? No, people want the fastest route possible so 2x cards will reign supreme. Leveling too fast and easy after BB will ultimately sell less cards, so I still think my point stands.

I doubt it will sell less cards. Making it easier to level off the cards will even pull in the huge chunk of players who almost never level, because it's such a pain in the arse [to them]. True it will make it 'easier' to get to 200, but most people have mules of all sorts. There's plenty incentive to level more than one character straight up.

There is a balance. Not too slow, not too fast. i firmly believe that is the best way to sell something. If the game is to fast and easy, people loose interest or at least feel like investing in 2x cards is unnecessary. If it is too slow it's pretty much the same deal. What I do not know is if it is too fast with 2x cards post BB but I suspect it might be. The potential system pretty much doubled my training speed at level 18X so I can only guess at the impact of BB.

Balance is in the eye of the beholder. The options should be there. If one does not feel he/she needs 2x cards, it is a simple matter not to invest in them.

Of course, but every decision that Nexon makes is based on selling. That's why they won't charge 10k NX for a 4 h card or nerf the normal exp rates down to 0,5. I am not arguing for them to take away the 2x cards, I'm just open for the possibility that they find a more profitable approach.

hehe, actually i was wondering maybe they can sell 10% exp card at 2k nexon next time
and do away with those pendants and stuffs that gives exp.

Implement things like if the char has logged in for 1h online he gets only 50% exp, 2h online 40%, 3h 30%, 4h 20%, 1h 10% ,5h no exp (coz he is a game addict)

So technically everyone will spend an hour a day on maple only.

Or everyone would relog every hour.

Anyway, that maybe dandy for JMS, but in GMS most of Nexon's income comes from hardcore players...

The game has changed.
Once, Nexon's method of keeping people playing for months and years was to make levelling so slow that you had to grind forever to get anywhere.
Now you can level a dozen characters in the time it once took for one - but fortunately there are two dozen classes for you to play. Now the draw to keep playing is "try them all".

Do you have evidence to support that claim?

There used to be an article that the CEO or whoever said that 10% of the players give out 80% of the profits. Which was a messed up 80/20 model.
