I thought global warming put burden on pomegranate plantations...

And... how do we run out of gold? :f6:

Helium gas is also growing scarce.

The thing is, some of these minerals are used to make solar panels. I guess when we "run out of" it means we can only get it from products rather than from the earth itself.

SEE?? global warmings has made us use even scarcer resources than Fossil Fuels! We have to use Fossil Fuels as alternatives to the alternatives to save the worse off resources!

Fossil Fuels will only run out in a 100years or so, but these will run out even sooner! Save the Gold; Save the Metals of the earth and use Fossil Fuels!

Don't fret though, we have 1027 more years of aluminum!

Well, natural gas is running out in 50-100 years, and that is more cause to worry about :3.

The thing about metals is that unlike fossil fuels, they aren't really "used up".
Except for the tiny amount we shot into space, and the fissionable materials that we fissioned, every bit of metal ever mined is still here on Earth, and recoverable, if the price is right.
Also, we can find more mines on/in the Earth, or on other planets, or the asteroids. It's just a matter of cost. Once the current sources are depleted, cost will rise until it becomes economically feasible to recover / dig deeper / go offplanet for this stuff. That is, if no replacement is found.

It's not like we're not running out of iron or coal.

I wonder if that assessment accounts for half-life in its calculation of longevity.
