Sure but it had nothing to do with the Black Magician. Each class was just told to go kill some animals and talk to some people until they discovered the Astaroth and his 5 underlings had been let loose. It was really, really weak, even in comparison to the Aran / Evan / Cygnus stories which aren't the best.

Adventurers don't have a story so how can you say they share that goal? Their only concern is killing things as far as their "story" is concerned. But, it is entirely possible for any group to unlock Resistance, I've only been detailing the legendaries because they have fleshed out stories and feasible reasons to actually go there that aren't difficult to add on to.

Adventurers don't work for the Black Mage and aren't restricted to fighting anything created or working for him. We know the Adventurers aren't evil and though they don't have a storyline it still doesn't mean they aren't fighting against the Black Mage. Hell for all we know the Black Mage isn't the real enemy and theres a bigger one. Sort of like Disney and Chernabog.\

It's almost 100% obvious without even saying anything this guy is the king of all the Villains in Disney and not a single other is working without influence by or through Chernabog. For all we know that could happen in MS too.
