What do you expect/hope Nexon throws in with Big Bang?

Good for you. I have 32 medal achievement. Saving all the medals along with the rest of the untradable novelty items I have would be impossible, and I do not consider medals, then or now, to be worthy of saving. Mostly because other than the quest specialist and saint exorcist, they are ugly and useless. You need lots of slots when you do stuff now because of the 10x equip droprate so having like 5 free slots aint gonna be enough. Sure NX could solve the problem, but I see nothing about medals other than the achievement itself that could justify me paying to keep them. I get why others do it, but it would be atrocious to build a new system around it instead of just enabling you to reobtain every medal you've gotten if needed.

WindChaser Wrote:As far as I know theres no such limitation...the only one I know of is that you cannot resell an nx item you bought from someone else. I will try to test this though

There is that limitation. If used in any way, or traded, NX items become untradeable. Also, something that is a little less obvious, but if you use anything in a stack (say bundled owls or EXP charms) then you make the rest of the stack untradeable as well. With NX, stacks are all or nothing.

After Big Bang there is only two high levels can't get. Subway Worker and the event Explorer medal from the Explorer ring event. And there isn't lots of perma event medals. MAD, Explorer and TT, Aran/Evan ones. Remind me if there are others though, I might have missed 1 or 2. But it's still not a lot of missed event medals.

I don't care how they would deal with a theoretical multiple medal system, but I just want the titles to disappear from under our guilds. I like Meta's idea where they could just put the medal's symbol next to my name or something. The name could be revealed on mouse-over if people are so inclined.

Why stop there? I would not mind if they did the same with the guildname. Just a symbol instead. Would be even cooler if we guildleaders could design the symbol ourself in some kind of simple system.

Admittedly, it's not my idea. Like I said, I took all the ideas for medals that had been listed in the topic before and merged them together. The blank medal that takes on the stats of other medals is about the only thing that is my idea, but you could say that was improved off of Avenge's post that said wear any medal you wanted and get the bonuses from all your others. I just flavored everyone's ideas up a little.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:Anyway, I got out a piece of paper and sorted through every medal that we can/could get and came up with this.

 Spoiler

What we end up with is classes getting a pretty good HP/MP boost, and that's about it. Maybe the stats are a bit on the high side, but that's only if you manage to get all those medals. Some medals are event medals you can't get anymore, and others are sort of hard to earn. Like 1000 fame in 30 days, 5 S Rank PQ's, getting all sorts of monster cards, etc.

these stats are completely fair for anyone who has earned the medals, and would present an actual purpose for completing most of them.

CarrionCrow Wrote:A few extra medal slots would work, fine. The elaborate combo stuff just makes no sense though, and it would be horrible because there are lvl limited medals that high lvls cannot get, and lots of event ones at that.

there's many other things that come in events that are not made available to players in the future. most itcg items, witch belts, explorer rings, etc.

All those items are now replaced with new stuff. Potential system nailed the coffin shut on most iTCG items and witch belts are easily replaced by immortal pharaoh belts. The one exeption would be explorer rings. Every medal you miss would hurt you if they all stack. Granted it's borderline ocd to care about every last stat points, but we all know that's the way most maplers work.

I like the idea of making medals' symbols appear next to the player's name rather than having a third line of text. In fact, maybe they could even make medals change the outline of a player's name, or have it so that people can customize the outline of their names depending on the medals that they've earned.

That's already covered by cash shop rings, so it'll probably never happen.

I'd be happy if they make it Windows 7 compatible.

Two words: Class Balance.

There's something irrevocably cute and awesome about games that are fair.

Alot of rpg's have class stereotypes as I recall anyway where balance is dependant on your own gameplay.

Take Fire Emblem thracia 776 for example.

You can have a whole assortment of jobs and characters to deploy. Archers, lance knights, sword knights, axe knights, armored knights, wind mages, Warriors, and Hero's etc.

Archers have low hp, but very high damage rates when attacking at a distance
Knights have fast and are well-rounded, which is like a paladin in maplestory
Armoured knights have high defence and have high hp and damage rates, which is like a dk in maplestory.
Lightning, Wind, Fire, Light mages are all different in their own catagories as well. Wind is faster, lightning is slow but deals high damage, and fire is in the middle while light and dark kinda clash.

What I'm saying is, every job has it's differences, theres no real balance. Because if there ever was a balance, everyone'd be the same and there'd be no point to the game since no matter what you choose your going to be exactly light the person next to you.

Ach, dang it. I had forgotten all about cash shop rings. It's too bad, I thought my idea was pretty cool too. Frown

They may make it so that all jobs have at least 2 skills that require an NX skillbook.

What I'd really like to see is Free SP Resets.
And not in the form of that global SP reset scroll.

Not forever, but for, say, a month, let all levels of SP Resets cost 0NX in Cash Shop. Make them expire in a day, so you can only get them for immediate use, not stock up for months ahead.

I want to be able to do a bit of experimenting with my build. If I put points in a new or changed skill and then realize it's not all that it's cracked up to be (or just doesn't suit my personal style), I want to be able to move those points elsewhere without having to pay through the nose for it.

Good idea, but I think it will be better if you get a free SP reset every time you job advance (the reset will reset the job you're advancing to), and people will be able to do a quest to get a SP reset.

or god dam - make the SP reset in CS reset the WHOLE skillbuild, not just one point.

When you job advance, the job you're advancing to has no points assigned yet. What's the need for an SP reset for it?

Also, that's not solving the problem I was talking about, which is that of rebuilding existing characters when BB hits.
I'm 4th job, I'm never job advancing again (unless we get a really big surprise), so by your suggestion I will not get any SP resets?

Blup Wrote:, and people will be able to do a quest to get a SP reset.
As long as the quest isn't too annoying, that sounds like a good idea. Do a quest for your appropriate job instructor to help you undo your mistakes.

Errr... no. I don't want to reassign hundreds of points (and likely slip up) when I only need to move a few.
