Possibilities of upgrading downgrading Stirgeman stuff ?
#1
Heya all,

i managed to get the lvl 20 stirgeman pants.
So i decided to try to upgrade them.

i know that there is a chance (10%?!) that the item will be destroyed while the forging process.

I took the risk and upgraded my Pants. they went from lvl 20 to lvl30.
on my second upgrade attempt the Pants didnt improve and were still lvl 30
on my third attempt, the pants were upgraded from lvl 30 to lvl 70.

Now im a bit confused, how are the possibilities that my pants will reach lvl 90 after the next upgrading attempt??
I hope someone can help me.

thanks in advance for your replies

Can't help you with the percentage, that kind of information is usually not available through extractions. Why not settle for 70 though? They can still get HB and that's the whole point of them anyway right?

Actually, level 90 stirgeman pants are good for pirates and bowmen, who have no tops or bottoms at those levels.

Err, well, why would they use pants without any nice lvl 71+ top to go with it? I suppose an android top and a pair of lvl 90 pants would beat an overall in pure potential though.

They would, since Android Vest is the best top pirates/bowmen can wear.

Its not for HB-skill, i already have that skill, but im thinking of the Potential Bonus.
the lvl 90 pants beats the lvl 70 pants by far. So yea i hope someone have experiences with upgrading stirgeman stuff.

So im afraid of trying to upgrade again because when the lvl 90 pants only comes out with a low chance i dont take risk to loose all.

I believe it randomly picks (even chance for any of these) from upgrading +1/2/3 levels, staying the same, or downgrading 1/2/3 levels. If it downgrades to below the lowest type of stirgeman equip in game (level 20?) it destroys the item

So after some upgrading tries, imma share my results. to me up/downgrading is totally random

1. try: 20-30
2. try: 30-30
3. try: 30-70
4. try: 70-40
5. try: 40-60
6. try: 60-40

to be continued..

So does this mean that you have a 3/7 chance of destroying the pants on the first upgrade attempt? Ouch.
Tried a simulation. Unless I screwed up somehow, there is only a 23% chance of getting the level 70 pants starting from 20.
Nexon really likes having us blow up stuff.

It's the ONLY top and bottom that pirates can wear and the ONLY top and bottom archers and mages can wear that is above level 71 (cause bowman have level 40 tops/bottoms and mages have level 10[?] tops and bottoms).

Andriod are level 70 D=
6/4/4 + 9/6/6 is still better than 9/6/6 for those who are willing to squeeze out some extra % stats. This is top+bot vs overall.

Correction: It's the only top and bottom that has decent potential stats. Pirates can wear the level 11 top and bottom, but those have garbage pot stats.

ive blown up 4 sets of stirgeman pants. I'd believe that the poof rate is way above 25% at minimum. so consider yourself lucky that your single set hasnt poofed after 7 tries - most of mines didnt go past 3 upgrades each.

I guess there is not a set Boom rate chance. Restating Lozmaster, Stirgeman pants will either upgrade +1, +2, +3, +0, -1, -2, -3 in terms of levels. Since MagicsBow did not boom his pants, it just shows that pants need a negative upgrading effect in order for the upgrading procedure to fail. In essence, Stirgeman upgrades your items exactly how chaos scrolls can alter stats.

Most of the pants I have blown up have been either Level 20 or Level 30.

*Nvm, just read that it isn't for HB. Lars, what if you get Lvl 90 pants and they come out 2 lines? That would suck. Sad

In most cases

6/4/4 = 14%

9/6 = 15%

So it doesn't really matter. And if you're dead set on 3 stat, like someone said just reforge.

Yea Keith it seems to be correct with the plus and minus upgrading, but i think it works like a chaos scroll -5 --- +5.

well i boomed my Pants now. thats the finishing chart.

1. try: 20-30
2. try: 30-30
3. try: 30-70
4. try: 70-40
5. try: 40-60
6. try: 60-40
__________
7. try: 40-30
8. try: 30-30
9. try: destroyed
