Also, killing the same monster for minutes, even with good EXP, is horrible. It's not good to train also because of the pot cost, you use shitloads of MP / HP potions there, and monsters barely drop 3k when dead.
Since when did the best exp possible become the standard for "decent" and make "every other place terrible"

I get what aslemn is trying to say.
I mean, LHC training, there is hardly any moving around. You just hold your attack key down the whole time because 100% of the time, the monster will be KB'd.
At least in non-LHC training, you move around.
I dunno. Both have their ups and downs.

Chinchilla Knight! Okay, well... it's probably mouse, but we can consider it enough chinchilla monster in MS. Capybara

The area looks pretty nice, a bit disappointed with the level range though :\ In order:
미카엘 = Mikael
미카엘라 = Mikaella
티탄 = Titan
마리오네 = Marioney
데모스 = Damos
Thorr Wrote:Is a restrictive 50-60 area? (Like a Theme dungeon such as Mushy Castle or Kerning Square)
If high levels can at least enter and see the content, then I don't mind so much. (I will compare Exp points to other mobs of the same level. If the Exp is 10% higher than other mobs, that tells me it's a theme dungeon.) Theme dungeons are no longer level restricted. Perfect for those quest kings and monster card hunters (assuming Monsterbook will come back)

Ah, thanks, nothing interesting I guess.
Also, why are the NPCs so big? the ones on Insoya are normal-NPC sized, what's up with that?

Insoya made them smaller so it would look good and not mess up their template

If you solo, it's more likely decent exp with high pot cost. What i've said was, being OBLIGATED to train in a party of six is the terrible thing, not saying that every other place is terrible...
Killing the same monster for minutes, when a boss, is like a lot of games. I don't mean the same monster species for hours Joe, but the same monster. They take a couple of seconds to kill, and you barely find more than 5 of it's kind around the map.
LHC training is, push a mob to the corner, hold your attack key until it dies, move, push another one and repeat the proccess a thousand times.
For Van Leon equipment? You need to kill Van Leon to tick the quest, so, it's not that easy to sell those for 5k, in the FM. Because they're worthless in NPC.
Also, 5k isn't that high, it's just like the cost of a single Sundae + Pop. Which is way less than you use to kill a single monster. Unless you're considering the guys in videos who deal millions in just seconds at high 18x.

I fail to see the problem of monsters that can take a beating. I kill every normal monster in the game pre-BB with one hit. Is that more fun? Also, why would the pot consumption be a make or break deal? So what if you loose mesos on training, there is a trillion ways to fund yourself without relying on breaking even on loot while training.

Most of those methods aren't relevant to the KMS market though. What works in GMS probably doesn't in KMS either because it doesn't exist or just because of the economy.

IGN: I don't play MS
When I first saw that this thread was about a new area, I was hoping it would be a low level version of Lionheart Castle. Party training is much more fun than solo training simply because you're actually doing something with other people rather than staring for 4 hours at you moving through a map in the same pattern while everything around you dies. If you play a class you enjoy, soloing can be interesting for a bit, but there's really just no way to make 1hkoing the same monster for 4 hours by yourself any fun at all. Or stay fun, at least.

It really isn't. I loved gobies and squids pre fourth job because you actually got to interact with people. Dungeons and the such reallytook away from the MMO and made maple a single player game lol.
Sure there's ksing and what not, but I loved being able to have others to talk to while killing. It made training a breeeze and not a chore.

I agree completely! They were the good days...that was, if you could even find a channel. I can't believe that when I go down to AR now that there's nobody hardly on the maps, yet when I had to train my bishop back when it was 8x-10x it was almost impossible to find a map any evening time.
Yep...the good ol' days of Maple. I truly miss them sometimes. But it's come a long way and a lot of improvements and it's still a great game. For the most part.

Apparently if you party up when fighting area bosses (who got strengthened), you get 150% exp now, similar to LHC.

Sure, KMS is a different playing field. I was talking about our own version, but it strikes me now aslemn is playing JMS according to his avatar. No idea what hardships they have over there. In GMS his fears are baseless at any rate.

The problem with LHC is that you don't really do much moving. Instead of moving and spamming the same skills, you spam the same skills in one place for a minute. At least you had to move around before. If they had made LHC more than just really easy to pin mobs it'd have been more fun. It'd be nice if they could make stronger mobs that aren't really 1khoable, but still don't take forever to kill for the average player. Like a big map that would be stupid to train on solo, but with a party nets you great EXP and the monsters still offer some challenge. As it stands, LHC is less of a challenge, imo, than the 1hko places because at least you have to move around in the 1hkoable places.

It isn't just the economy that affects that, it's a completely different society there. People think differently.

Actually, i've left that in my avatar for years.
I've played on KMS for a lot tho. And that's why i'm saying LHC is boring as pineapple. Or do you think i've gotten this up randomly?
I've tried training a Battlemage there, in the first days it was fun and whatever, i've leveled 3 times in a party of six and twus godly.
But starting on the other days, the fact you CAN'T solo before 14x bothered so much, everyone in the guild was asking for help on killing things, because each time you hit those pineapples, they just go crazy and won't stop attacking you. The flying hawks are the worst, they attack like peaches, and have broken frames that make them almost impossible to solo.
.
About the pot cost, even being a battlemage, which grants me no HP potions nor MP due to the low cost + Drain, it still makes me use pomegranateloads of potions. Also, the economy of KMS kinda doesn't leave you any choice on making money.
Only NX, the only good choice to make money, or else, with big bang and such, you're obligated to go farm money at training spots, killing other weak mobs for a thousand hours and looting them IF you get a pet.
I've actually been playing JMS these days for visitor events, but i'm not touching it until Big Bang arrives.
.
Forgot to mention the quests, the most boring pieces of pomegranate ever.
Most of them are exactly the same, bring 20 etc drops from that monster or kill shitloads of it.
You just keep spamming the same key forever, and then when the mob dies, only a single, or none etc drop appears. It takes hours to do those, they just seem like repeating the same thing.
LHC looks amazing and wonderful in the first day, but in the few other days, it'll become the most boring and painful, although good alternative to training, that will.
