What I don't get is why the kid is even famous in the first place. Theres a bunch of little kids who can copy and sing songs, Mini-pop kids, etc. His voice right now sounds like pomegranate from puberty, and knowing how puberty goes, he won't be able to sing sooner or later because he'll sound like a donkey.

Because America always has these ''fad-stars'', like Michael Jackson. People talk about how he was so great, but it always seems like everyone only knows a few of his songs (The biggest hits like Thriller and Beat It), and the majority of the people that praised him -grew up- in that time period. Majority of this generation doesn't give a damn about him because he didn't do anything in the 90s and 2000s except for going crazy.

Justin Bieber is big now, but chances are like most child fad-stars, he will burn out pretty fast, then kids will move on to the next fad-star.

There are hundreds of things that can affect vocal sound, not JUST genetics. If that were the case your voice would sound identical to your brother's. >_> Things like skull size, shape, strength of vocal muscles, and other physical aspects do play a part. However just as important are post-birth alterations to the vocal chords such as damage from shouting (hoarse voice as a temporary example), surgery, or smoking, Vocal training (Muscle strength, posture, etc.), lung capacity, and so on. A person is by no means guaranteed to sound like their parent. I realize this is the funhouse but people might actually bother to take you seriously if you knew what you were talking about for once.

Not only that, but with proper vocal training one can actually delay the voice changing effects of puberty. Everything else may change, but if Bieber tries hard enough he can sound like a pansy for a few more years.
