How NX dependent is Vindictus?
#1
(Hope this is the right place to put this) So yea, thinking about trying it, but if its like i'm gonna suck horribly on this game unless i spend thousands of NX then I wont bother, opinions? Big Grin

I don't know anything about Vindictus, but MapleStory is Nexon's cash cow and all of Nexon's other games are relatively cheap to play.

So far, NX isn't needed. No idea how it'll be in the future. Tokens reset about every 5 hours, so there's no problem with that unless you're literally whoring out the dungeons. The only worth-while things to get right now are storage expansions, which are permanent for about 10,900 NX.

So far it seems like DFO's cash shop, except instead of avatars you get fashion crap. Like MapleStory.

Also I don't think this is exactly the best place for this. Gaming section may have been a better idea.

Even with the storage expansions, buying just one would be more than enough for the amount of content out at the moment, unless you're a complete pack-rat and just keep EVERY FUCKING THING you obtain.

In the future, tokens will only reset 2 times per week.

Might get a bit pricey if you play more than 6 hours per week.

You saw it coming one day, bro. I, on the other hand, thought it was quite odd how my tokens always were refunded even though one of the quests said "Mondays and Fridays" or something. Everything's clear now: we're in beta. Rolleyes

I still don't get why we're still in Beta anyways when the Cash Shop came out.

Eh. There's still plenty of bugs and latency that needs to be fixed before we're in the full release. I guess.

The sad thing is, all games have to come to this now. Thanks to korea being a huge mind the the MMO industry, and their laws mandating fatigue systems into games. Remember, you can get more tokens by those seals of dedication and joy, obtained by reviving folks and fishing. Hopefully the every 5 hours thing IS permanent, or something a little more feasible like every 24 hours or something.

I'm afraid that I'm going to run out of potions. This is bad because fine HP potions can only be crafted. To craft them, you need 5 Life Erg Crystals for 10 potions. Once I'm out of Life Erg Crystals, I'll have no efficient way to heal myself; therefore, I will have to spend NX to buy Merc Potions. Merc Potions heal the most out of any potion thus far and take maybe 1/6 the time to drink.

You can buy the basic 400 HP potions from the same guy that crafts them. 2k for 10 I believe.

I run out too quickly. They heal too little, as well.

BAWWWWWW.

Suck it up and use the normal potions and save the fine ones for the real challenging things. This game isn't maplestory; you don't tank damage like crazy. You try to not get hit. This isn't NX dependant.

Just buy the erg crystals or fine HP potions off the market if you run out. I still have over 70 life erg crystals since I rarely use potions at all. One per 2 dungeons if that. Like Erich said, the whole point is to NOT get hit, not to stand in the boss's face and swing like a mad man.
