4.0.1, Pre Cataclysm patch

I guess you could consider cataclysm a "Big Bang". Burning Crusade and WoTLK just added a few things to the game. Cataclysm is changing the core of many of the classes and completely changing Azeroth.

the first two expansions brought in new continents, outlands and northland, so players without the expanions could not travel to the new lands. As for cata i believe the old world will be phased into the cata zone for those with cata and stay old world for those without. Expansions do not cause you to start over, just to progress further.

All this while having to own the first WoW? Or can you get all the content from previous versions from Cataclysm, cause if not, that's what? 20+30+40+40=130$ +monthly charge? That's... pretty steep, if that were the case. >.>

Well for Cata, come 4.0.3, the entirety of Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor is changing. Couple blue posts have stated that this is replacing the old continents, so new players who are starting out for the first time will have access to the new Kalimdor and EK. The only thing the expansion adds is the typical new level zones, profs, etc etc, and I believe the ability to fly in new Azeroth, since you still have to buy the flying skill.

Honestly, I also thought they were gonna phase all of old Azeroth to be in line with Vanilla WoW and Cata WoW, but seems it's nigh impossible to pull off without causing some insane problems.

Don't forget, we're getting 4.0.3 a few weeks before the actual expansion comes out to compensate for the delay from Nov -> Dec, so we'll have access to new Azeroth to goof around with until we're ready for the 80-85 content.

Blizzard is going to need a "cut off" somewhere. We're going to get into the 6th expansion some day and it'll cost like $200 just to get started.

inb4 they release a "Battle Chest" for WoW that contains Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath, all for $30-50.

You still need TBC and Wrath if you wanna get to 85. There's still the level 60 cutoff if you only have the vanilla package. Can't exactly go from being level 60 to inside level 80+ content without TBC / Wrath now can you? lol
You can still be exposed to all of the cataclysm changes and such to old world, but just not be introduced to the new 80+ areas, professions, skills, etc etc.
Basically leveling from 1 to 58/60 will be much more enjoyable than as it is in its current state

Really? Son of a peach, I was hoping I'd just have to buy the latest version and be done with it. I was thinking of playing but I ain't got that kinda money right now.

Hello friends,

This past weekend my character silverbg2 was hacked and deleted, I am lost for words for this. Though I most likely deserved it. But for those who care, please listen to my stories.

This is not intended to be boastful or egotistical in anyway, this is my maple journey to my-recall. This sum's up my maplestory career.

My bow-master meant a lot to me even though it is just a game, I started mapleing in 2006, my freshman year of high school. Here's the story form the beginning...

It was the week of basketball try-outs, I had played basketball since i was little, all the way up to 8th grade. The first day, I fell horribly sick, missed almost 2 weeks of school, during these two weeks. Dennis introduced me into maple-story. The addiction started after that, of maple-story being the addicting game it is. Over the next few months, all my time was geared towards maple-story. I was nothing special in maple starting out, just another archer. I was level 43 when started to bored of maple, that was when i was introduced to a friend. This friend was a common day hacker, he would let me leech from his character while we slept. This didn't last long, a few levels later I found out it was wrong. Around level 57, I met Gavin(Tiger) and Crystal(Kittyz0r). Tiger, the motivation. Gavin said once i reached 130. I could train with them at gobys! I trained hard to level 63, attempting to grind...This was well before 2x exp cards. I was introduced into a website that sold power leveling, I paid my way from 63-120. There was still time on my account, every now and then. Around level 100, I left my former guild "LostHeros" and joined a guild known as "Pure".(Kinze was in pure, which is why I wanted to join) Pure lasted til i was about 110. After Pure me and AJ, Started a new guild "NxFraud". Boy, Did i love this guild. We had 80 members strong, all very active. I left for military camp at level 120, 6 weeks.

I lost all my blubber from my past life and was rather trim and in shape when i returned. The addiction consumed me again. I trained with Noxyboy from 120-130, Around then I decided to start another guild, Pride. Pride, such a simple word, but describes my inner most desires so elegantly. The heavy spending on maple started around now. Hundreds of Hundreds of dollars spent on Nexon Cards and Meso websites. Gear was improved. I met a friend, his name was Soadd400. He had a legendary Bow. A 115/5 Dex arund. Best bow ever right about now(before white scrolls).

In the making of pride,I met allison(mybbyb0o/aliheartsU/iheartbg/BabyySwirls/Iheartbg2/Beautiful/LoveBG/SwirlyStars...That's in order btw), Everyone knows the story of Allison. I don't feel the need to go into that. Around 140, 4th job was released. I was a higher level bowman in Scania with decent gear. It became a battle between, ReVeng & SuperVillian wanting me to join their guild.... Pride was disbanded around 143. I joined ReVeng, Spade(Crazy) won me over. Spade/G was the best friend anyone could have, I don't speak with him much these days but I still look up to him in some aspects.

ReVeng, I was one of the few people to ever join Vengeance with out posting a application. Life was great in ReVeng, I felt in a place where I belonged on maple. Training 17 hours a day, never seemed like something I would even attempt to do. ReVeng made it possible. Vent was always crowded, even on school mornings there would be 10-20 people signed on vent. Only 1-2 people was there of course. A ReVeng member named ayman, offered his own power leveling service.

At level 153, I was introduced to Salsa, my trainer. Salsa was a pure training beast. Needless to say from April to August, My account was always on. On August 18th 2008, Silverbg2 was the first bowmen in Scania to reach level 200, 2nd overall. Shortly after me and Allison broke up, I become infatuated with Skyresse(Trissa), worst mistake in my maple career at this point. In November, silverbg2 was stripped and all gear missing. During this time i became less involved with the now Excellent.

In November, i woke up to silverbg2s pin changed, all gear missing, horn-tail pendent dropped. I was re-united with Allison, over the next few months, i wrote a lot with GM Tiara and become close friends. In February, my gear was returned to me. Hard to believe even this was over a year ago.

In March, CWQPQ was released, at this time pendents were trade-able, Excellent was running heavily, we started splitting up into groups to do the runs, seeing as it didn't take many people. I started Hosting my own runs, formed my own group within a group essentially. Mid-April, with little warning I was expelled form Excellent, no real explanation, I was later told it was due to forming a group within a group or not coming on vent enough, it came down to Realestkilla, wasn't to fond of me. I was later invited into the Synergy Family! Which had to of taken a lot to guts to do, considering my past guild. I am still thankful for that...

The Synergy family in April was strong than it is today, I have loved my time as one of Synergy's Bowmen. I guess synergy is my last stop as a mapler .

On February 13th, 2010, Silverbg2 was hacked into and deleted. I should be terribly upset over this, oddly I am not. Obviously, I'm a little bothered by it, [SIZE="7"]spending Thousands upon Thousands of dollars on Maplestory[/SIZE]. I've wrote a ticket to have something done, I properly won't give up til something is. Over the past 3 months, my eyes have been opened by the love of my life, Alaina. Alaina means the absolute world to me, I would much rather spend my time with her than simply sit on the computer and play maplestory. She completes me in every which way possible. I love her more than anything, and do everything in the world to make her happy. She is the absolute perfect match for me. I mean that with my heart and soul. When you find the one for you, you just know. I've known since i was with her for 8 days when I said those beautiful words, " I Love you"...8 days?! So soon?? But it was so right, and our relationship is healthy and strong. We haven't the littlest problem, everything with us just clicks. There was never an awkward moment between the two of us. This is the girl I am going to marry, and I will marry her. We plan to get married after both of us graduate highschool.

Right now everyone is thinking, we are crazy. You are obtusely right, we are crazy for each other. This is what we want, it's what we've wanted before we were even dating for a month. My Mother, knows we are made for each other, she makes me smile and I love making her smile. Whatever your views on sex and marriage are. Alaina and I are saving sex for marriage. And quite frankly what we want is to get married at this age. Save your opinion's about love and marriage. This is our life to live~ Don't you dare try to hurt our future.

I am so thankful to all the friends I have met on this game. A lot of you have made a real impact on my life. I have so many friends that text with me daily and talk on the phone with. Some of you I have met up with in real life and it was so much fun.


If you take anything form my story, please let it be to, Live your life and enjoy the best years of your life. Don't let maple or other video games control your life, because I know, my maple career to this extent was a mistake. In return I have gained many friends that can never be forgotten. Regardless to say, I am fat and out of shape. My next goal is return my health above all things.

I didn't SS it, but we also did 10m H-Halion today. I heard only one other horde group has killed 10m H-Halion on our server, too. I'm surprised we wiped as few times as we did. Going to try for Bane tomorrow, so it's a good week.

Yeah, I guess it's not that special, but it's fun to 2-heal it. Halion was 3-healed: I was solo-healing the top while a Druid and a Disc Priest did the twilight realm. It only took like 6 or so wipes, and it was only the second time we got to phase 3.

I've always liked the Lich King fight, so tomorrow should be sweet. We're probably going to do Starcaller again this week, and there is a potential Herald run sometime soon too.

lk hm is one fight i never got to do that i really wanted to, plus bane of the fallen king is one of my favorite titles. Good luck with that fight.

I'm not sure if the 4.0 changes have anything to do with this, but i started up a priest yesterday, and my god is it easy to kill things with. I can just put up power word shield and then use shadow word pain on 10 mobs and then stand there with them beating on me while they all die.

oh yeah been meaning to ask if anyone is playing with other SP members? Could be fun to all make a character to mess around with on the same server.
