Kirby's Epic Yarn
#1
...Did anyone else buy this? I've been playing it with my brother so far. It's really fun but the cut-scenes are so 'story book' that it's sickly sweet. The co-op reminds me of New Super Mario Bros. Wii a lot because you can pick each other up and toss them. It can become really irritating but it's never really a huge problem. One of the biggest cons about this game before it came out was that in this game, you can't die. When you get hurt you lose your gems that you use to purchase things and unlock secret levels. To be honest, this game would be so much more irritating if you could die. It's already annoying having to do the level 5 times just to get a gold medal.

Anyway, I don't really expect anyone else here to have gotten this besides me. I really like Kirby, but I will admit this game feels really kiddy sometimes. Especially during the cut-scenes.

I will download this game. Hopefully it won't be a complete waste of time like Other M was. Also, your image is borked.

Well, if you're just downloading it it's not really a huge waste of your time, considering all you'd want to get a video game to do is to waste your time. Also, I can see the image, I'll try to fix it.

Edit: Fixed now?

It's supposed to be really easy but isn't that the point of most kirby games?
Something cute you can just sit back and relax over instead of ripping hair out/etc.

This alone makes it worth it.

Lol. I kind of want to check it out, but I don't really feel like spending money. I should look into getting that Homebrew channel or whatever the hell it is...

*thread derailment in progress*

It'll certainly be an experience if you go through with that. I couldn't possibly regret hacking mine.

According to my brother Game Informer gave this game a 9.5/10. Could be worth looking into.

What is Homebrew? Is it like a mod or something for your Wii?

Actually the game has shown me it can be really difficult when it comes to teamwork. My brother has showed me that at least...

I can not describe how much I adore the music in this game. I love the Cool Cave theme too.

Two days before the game was released the metacritic score was at 94. It's at 89 right now though.

Homebrew channel (aka homebrew) lets you launch applications which can do a ton of things.

I dont know how trustworthy game review websites/magazines are anymore. They keep getting paid off to give "Great" reviews to crappy games. I heard and saw how Kirby's Epic Yarn is, and it could be a... 8 or even a 9, but a 9.5/10? @_@

Iono... just my own 2 cents ^^

If things are explained, then this thread will get dreadfully close to closing/infractioning everyone that talks about it.

That pretty much answered my question anyway. So back on topic!

Trying to use critics to decide if you want a game or not is awful. Play it or try it out at a store kiosk instead, you'd be surprised with how much you could possibly disagree with a critic.

I'm disappointed that Peanut Plains wasn't remixed into Epic Yarn. Sad That was my favorite song next to the DeDeDe theme and Butter Building.

Talking about it is legal, and doing it is legal. Posting information on how to do any of it isn't allowed.

I posted a really good paragraph about the things that can be done to a homebrew wii (more specifically the things I'VE done to my wii) once before but i can't find it. I've got tons of games, access to brawl+, brick protection (slang for the state in which the wii can do nothing, thus, is a brick), backup and upload NAND (system information for brick protection), emulate many systems including PS1, and tons more.
