What do you expect/hope Nexon throws in with Big Bang?
#41
I really could careless about Big Bang anymore. No point experiencing it if the game doesn't work on Win 7. All the dcing and other error crap is testing my last patience.

The sad part was, Nexon's justification for increasing the tax in MTS was because people were using the MTS as storage for things like pots and etcs and raising the tax does nothing for that.

for that storage problem, they could just put a max limitation on items in the MTS, like max 15 items at once

-Old childish BGM changes

-(this is more likely something that KMS should do post-BB) remake neo city, change names of NPCs/monsters,recolour NPCs and monsters, replace all japanese marked background objects with non japanese ones, and also continue the neo city story.
(I can deal with kerning squarea and the golden temple event, but this is ridiculous, all things are similiar except for storyline/maps)
Also, everytime you have to kill the pet in the time tree its extremely weak, so make this boss like 6x times stronger,so itll be considered a challeenge
thats just what i want the msot, a justified and reasonable Neo City, renaming it would be cool too.

1.) Nexon has to make a profit. Would you rather have what it is now and have less things require cash or have more things require cash with smaller prices? Nexon won't go back on profit. Almost no sane company would do that. And Nexon isn't sane.

2.) We'd have to have a lot of those world tours for them to do it. They only need to really rework some bad parts of all the world tours (everything has a bad part), rewrite the hp/exp ratios, and that's about it. NexAm can't and won't do it either. There's a likely chance that the version of origin might have redone the areas for post-BB. If that wasn't the case, we'd have an extremely broken area or have a bunch of versions of the same area. We don't need more of them. :|

3.) > Maplestory
> not childish

It is rather cutesy and childish. That's a big catch to the game. It obviously has serious parts as every GOOD game should have, but it doesn't mean the entire game needs to go badass on us. Some improved remixes (I guess you could call them that) would be nice, just to modernize the game more.

4.) How about we just scrap Neo City and just say it was a horrible idea. That sounds nice to me. The way Neo Tokyo is and the way the rest of zipangu is in a way that it only has extremely strong references to Japan. Zipangu obviously IS japan, but as far as the game is concerned it's a floating island like ereve or maple island. (Seriously, it is, go look at the Japanese world map.)

____

Now for my two bits:
Logical:
  • Fixing up the server/client issues that cause our lag. We all know there's bad FPS, the game freezes, and I personally experience freezing every 15 seconds for a short time.

Personal:
  • Flat out remove kerning square and neo city. Put the real ones in. Better story, better training, better everything.
  • Renovate graphically in victoria island and some of the older areas. They can do much much more with new technology and it looks weird in the quality difference in between new and old, especially when they get mixed together like they do sometimes. (Hopefully KMS will do this one day, I know it's a little off-topic).

You shouldn't down one's wish list, it's a wish list for a reason. -_-

So you get lag EVERY 15 seconds? Sucks for you I get lag maybe 1-3 times a day ( that I'm online paying attention ) and last for like 7-12 seconds.

Satellite Wrote:MTS is useless, cause of the fee. If they give us cash item trade (which is in about all other versions already), I don't care if they remove the whole MTS.

But obviously greedy guys at Nexon America won't do that. Because the cash item trade doesn't have ridiculous fee that would make NX inflate and people buy more NX.

Useless? Come one thats a bit much I would quite possibly quit MS if it was ever removed I use it to buy so much stuff rarely sell...If I sell anything it's something more then 20k+, though I say the fee getting raised was the worse thing MS have ever done in the game and pissed me off the most.

But I don't see what trading NX items have to do with MTS? Less scamming maybe? But I think we will get NX trading eventually but hard to tell when logic never works here...

NX trading from Nexon's point of view:

So far they've done a pretty good job of protecting themselves against Fraud. But NX trading throws all that out. They'd need to come up with a system that only allows items bought with prepaid cash to be traded. That's what's stopping them really.

1.) well like KMS has it perma i think in gms the prices are a bit ridiculous, maybe 20% is a lot to ask, but still gotta be reduced... 5-10% at least.
2.) probably KMS fixin it
3.)Yea. exactly modernizing it, because it feels old and odd to me, especially the ludi town bgm.. its even kidna annoying
4.)well i think if theyd work hard on it and not just throw it in with diff maps/ratios it could become a great success, especially the neo city storyline, they could make lotta better -.-

overall, KMST should work on OLD and unused parts of the game, like they did with cygnus and this ultimate warrior, like big bang for other jobs...
but we still have neo tokyo, ludi pq, orbis pq, ellin forest, aqua, etc.

I have a desire for them to release a "complete" BB myself, but I wouldn't call it a hope. I still consider BB a work in progress in the state it was in when they stopped working on it.

Specific things I'd like:

-Completed monster book update:
--Still have half hopes that it wasn't removed with the intention of it being permanently removed.
--Updated cards + all monsters having cards - cards for monsters that don't exist in our version
--Account Shared Books
--Book Bonuses: Pick a card from your selection to receive a permanent buff {as long as selected} (minus bosses that improve drop/exp) based on that card. Number of cards usable at any given time depends on character level and book level.

-Medal-Title Transition
--Turn the bonuses from medals into titles which can be changed by in game UI.
--For those who already have medals as equips, have a "Re-obtaining ... Title" quest turn in their medals for the title.
--This would not only help clear out equipment slots, but give NEXON the ability to balance medal stats given their difficulty to obtain without having to worry about items already in game.

I would like that a lot.

I would like (It's probably not gonna happen) buccaneer improvements, keep CSB at the point where it was 6 targets - spammable and make SI able to go below the speed cap (this one can be only on buccaneers or to everyone).

For Medals, I would rather see
- separate inventory for medals
- the ability to wear any number of medals at a time

It makes absolutely no sense to limit medals to one. It would also not "break" the game, as most medals have just 1-3 of a stat. The job medals can be changed to all have 50 hp/mp, so that wearing all you've earned so far would give you the same hp/mp bonus as you have now wearing the latest one.

While i like the idea of wearing many medals at once; I dont think it should be as many as you want. Perhaps the number that can be worn could go up 1 per job advancement? Like lv10, 30, 70 and 120 to avoid the problem of some classes having more than 4 advancements.

These, I like all of these ideas and I'd really like Nexon to make those changes.

I agree on that the medal system MUST be changed. First of all, why wearing only one medal when you can wear 4 rings? Most organizations that reward they members with medals allow to wear more than one (see pictures above). Besides, considering the potential system allows items now to have really crazy stats, medals seem so insignificant in comparison except for the HP.

- Buff up all Medals. Not just the potential system, but the last visitor medal put all the other medals to shame in regards of stats.
- I like the idea of the number of medals going up for every job advancement you have gone through. Going to a total of 5 at lvl 200.
- The Tittle that shows up below the character's name would be that of the first or main medal you wear, while the others don't show.
- Create a medal tab in the character's inventory, there are like 40 medals you can get right now in game which forces you to buy NX in you want to collect them all.
- Create a medal or accesories IU for medals and other acceories like rings. This would help the Equipped items IU don't look so overcharged.
- They could even create events, PQ's or areas that would require you to get X number of medals to join / get in. (Ala Pokemon Leagues).

This is kinda offtopic since this most likely is something that KMS would deal with instead of GMS, but it's something that I hope happens someday.

As for something that i'd like to see coming with Big Bang, other than the elemental bonus removed from elemental weapons I'd love to see something done to help save the game economy. It makes me sick to see that anything good you wanna buy nowadays is worth No item should be even worth over that.

I just started playing wow and what I really like about it is how you keep your buffs even when you log off. It would be alot less painfull when you dc if you find your 2x buff and magic guard still there when you log back in. They can keep track of skill cooldowns, so it IS possible. Also if you have say 15 minutes left of a buff, you can log off, log on the next day and it will still be 15 minutes. Imagine that + 2x card being a buff instead of an item -> Big Grin

that would lose too much money for them to consider. people would stop worrying about pushing through a full card. one card could be used for a full weekend ($2 loss per participating player). the losses seem small but would be devastating over the period of a year

You know, 2x cards aren't the only thing Nexon sells. I don't understand why people always feel the need to input how much money Nexon would lose from doing such and such. It's not always about maximizing profit on one item, since providing an overall greater gameplay experience increases player retention and can be more profitable in the long run. Also, making 2x cards not time out when you log off would greatly increase the demand for them, and Nexon would probably sell more of them.

nexon doesn't care about player retention lol. they've proven that time and time again. they squeeze what they can out a person and once they're done or dissatisfied then they move on to the next.

it doesn't need to be the only thing they sell for it to be a very important part of their profits. myself and everyone i know used to buy a 2x card every 2x event. sometimes i'd use 10 minutes of it, sometimes i'd play for the full four hours. the loss didn't stop me from buying one the next day, and the same went for my friends. we'd also buy them at random intervals through the week to gain some quick levels, rarely using the full thing. if i could stretch one card for a full weekend, and then buy one and use it for 30 minutes a day through the the week, my card usage would cut in half through the year, if not more. not to mention that i wouldn't be logged in when my card wasn't in use because i wouldn't want to waste any of those minutes.

there would initially be a surge of people buying them, sure, but that's where it ends. 4 hours is a surprisingly long time when you can come and go at your leisure.
