Totally excited for guilds. I got my whole dorm floor to play this game and we've been waiting for guilds since the start of the early access.

Oh, they confirmed Evie would be released in Open Beta in one of the interviews. It's just a decision whether it would be in this update or not (the quote mentions something about being the first update, or one of the first updates).

Edit: Hey, since this Open Beta will last only 2 weeks, it seems like Evie will be released ^_^.

I started extracting in early 2007 (4th job skill tables - my first ever extraction - was done in Apr 2007), and I didn't start Southperry until middle of 2008. It still took time to build the userbase necessary to take the risk of creating Southperry. At the time, extractions weren't that popular because, back then, they weren't that good and I didn't have all the scripts I have today. These things take time.

It makes a difference. I think more of us play East, but barely.
