Chrome sucks.

I went to install Skype this morning to talk to my friends and it asked if I wanted to install Google Chrome along with it. Curious about how Chrome is, I agreed to install it.

Man... This shit is slow. Slower than my FireFox, even. I thought this was supposed to be the fastest and "best" internet browser out at the moment. Start up alone takes about 30 seconds. In that time, I can open almost two FireFoxes.

Eh... I'll stick to Internet Explorer 9. It opens in less than a second with everything on my home page fully loaded. Even page loading times on IE9 is at least 5x faster than the Google Chrome I installed.

IE9 > FireFox > Chrome

IE9 is for W7 only right? maybe Chrome doesn't work great there, on my XP though, Chrome is great and I love it.

No, it's Vista and Win7.

Maybe you're doing it wrong, Justin. :oof:

How am I doing it wrong?

All are default -- no add ons. Internet Explorer 9 out-speeds the other two by quite a long shot.

"almost 2 firefoxes"
What are you doing to give Firefox a 15 second startup time?

Also, that was more of an exaggeration. The point is that IE9 is way faster than both of them.

People browser compare browsers way too much. If Firefox is slow, I don't notice it, so it's good enough for me.

Guess it depends on what way you look at it.

I don't know what tests they put their browsers under, but as for me, IE9 is WAY faster in all fields compared to the other two. Starting up, shutting down, page loading, etc. The other two take forever and only load parts of pages at a time. With IE, it's all instant.

Your IE has all the cache to load the pages the first time. Chrome doesn't.

I've tried them multiple times. There's no reason it all doesn't have the same info after loading http://southperry.net over and over and over and over and over.

Er... I have no problems with "slow loading." It's just that IE9 for me is way faster than Chrome. Is there a problem with that?
