Dual Blades, but what else?
#1
So I was looking over some of the Dual Blade skills, and I was wondering if Dual Blades are recommended to be Str Bandits(stat wise), or if it's preferential. Hope to hear back soon.

I'd say...especially with potential...you're better off going luk. higher base luk = even more stat gain from potential. Just my opinion though. I'm not exactly an expert on bandits/dual blades.

Well I currently have a Str Dit also, So I am in no way opposed to them, I was just wondering if it was a "wise" move. I might do it either way, just thought asking for advice was a good idea.

To be honest, I've never seen any bandits that bombed all their ap into str. They usually only get enough str just to equip khanjirs and their reverse str daggers. That's pretty much it, after that they just throw everything else into luck. DualBladers can do that too if they want, but these days thanks to potential, theres less and less need to even have to throw your ap into str at all. Its entirely fine to go with a str dagger if you want, since the base dmg is higher than luck daggers (it generally looks better too of course). Your katara dmg should be based on luck though, not str.

Thank you for the tips. This was beneficial to me.

You can use Luk Daggers until you get 75 Str, be it through potential or just through equips, then you can switch to a nice Pescas.

I want to say this part is entirely true. My DB has 100+ total STR now, and even if I change all my Maker'd thief gear to just DEX/LUK instead of STR too, and reset my base STR to 4(12 now), I'd still be overSTR'd for a Pescas. s:
I went STR purely for the looks(Cursayer being my favorite dagger<3), though damagewise it doesn't matter if you have base STR above 4, %luk totally makes up for it. Tongue

Somewhat off-topic, but is there a list anywhere with possible static potential stat bonuses?

if i made a DB, i'd make one just to use STR daggers cause they look a hell of a lot better than those cutter things that luk bandits use.

If you can wear a str dagger without going out of your way, then it would be better obviously. However, putting AP in str isn't really the best idea damage-wise. Kataras and luk daggers have identical stat requirements, so it just seems natural to use them together.
