Didn't they say they would release it over three patches like in KMS? So that means either Nov/Dec/Jan, Dec/Jan/Feb or Jan/Feb/Mar.

Atleast in kMS they didn't spend month for just one patch. So I'm assuming end of November/ December - Janury

OK Kanbaw I can agree with you on A LOT of your points. After thinking it over you can tell me if you agree with this or not. We KNOW Ulu is coming in November correct? With that being said. It's possible to have part one in Novemeber. Even if the patch is on November 30th it is STILL in November correct? Then that could set up Wild Hunter and Battlemage to come out right before Christmas. Plus I don't think a lot of people buy NX cards on Black Friday..ok so you can tell me if you agree wit h this or not. IF Big Bang IS in November we're looking at a VERY VERY late release. Sort of like Evan being a April(or March) update on the very last day.

I'm still looking at beginning to mid November release. Nexon is a consumer product on display in stores; why wouldn't they be bought? If people are buying gifts, and someone has told them they want NX card for christmas because this awesome new patch came out, then they would get more business. A patch in December would then ensure that the interest in the game holds, and one more in January clinches some loose Christmas money. Plus there are still the people that would go out and buy cards for themselves.

If I'm not mistaken they started announcing in early September, so personally I'm not even ''hyped up'' for Big Bang anymore since I know what it brings and now know how ''far off'' it is from their initial announcements. It made me -lose- interest in what Maple is currently to the point where I don't even log in anymore, and won't until Big Bang -actually- comes, but even then I won't be ''ZOMG IT'S BIG BANG! '' since they started hyping things way too early. I'll be like ''It's about time you papayas ''

For a winter release they should have just announced the stupid thing late this month, or -maybe- November, but instead they expect everyone to stay hyped up for about 3months or more with nothing but incredibly small fillers in between.

It couldn't possibly mess this up THAT badly. It would be such an utter failure of the company, on so many levels, to wait till December. Consumer spending in January has taken a nosedive in recent years, so that's not a very viable month for releasing new content. February's been flat, so that's doable. Business-wise, if Nexon really does release Big Bang in December, I'd say they're a dead-in-the-water company. It won't be just WoW that will eat them alive in the market.

Perhaps in terms of quality, customer service, and development, sure. But to a consumer, all MMO's are potential choices and investments. And in the eyes of most, Blizzard is king of MMOs. They're all in competition with each other, as one MMO publisher/developer to another.

Nexon's business model and business practice allows them to completely ignore what anyone else does in the industry. They have shown time and again that they do what the want, when they want regardless of what others are doing...they effectively have no competition.

Despite WoW's popularity, Maplestory doesn't have the same concerns about
being a competitor as opposed to the other pay-to-play mmorpgs.

Same reason why Lord of the Rings Online decided to relaunch free-to-play.

The only problem I see with the winter release was Nexon advertising Big Bang in September

If you figure that Nexon is comparing Big Bang to the patches of Maplestory that was translated

However, it still kills the hype. I merchanted to prepare for Big Bang's in October but now that

Do not fool yourself with dumb notions that Nexon is oblivious to good business tactics. Most of their updates rake in huge profits for them regardless of us few educated whiners and our opinions.

When I see "very soon" I expect to see the update in a week or two, a month at most...but "very soon" to Nexon obviously means something completely different.
