What changed...?

So...I think it's been about two years since I last played. I'm just wondering if the game has changed much in terms of overall playability. Has any patches really effected the 70+ levels and even 4th jobbers? Also if I was to just start playing today would I be lost?

I might be WRONG when I said two years ago it might be more or less. The last thing I remember was the hype about Knights of Cygnus.

lots of new jobs (race branches)
we have the adv. branch
cygnus branch
ultimate adventurer branch( not much)
resistance
Heroes/Legends
and dual blade (mentioned as a normal adv. but not really)

also new stupid PQs and new maps/features
new upcoming update is big bang which is a total revamp for maple world+ui+features+skills+monsters and everyone awaits it.
