I just remembered that I was going to reply to your even/odd thing in the morning... except I didn't survive. Truth is, I hadn't noticed at all that two people had died, throwing the numbers off. And at any rate, having 1 mafia and 7 town is better than having 2 mafia and 7 town, so voting on suspicion takes precedence over parity.
