FanaticRat Wrote:Hahahaha, I only have like maybe 11% stats total at my level. What does that make me? >_>

My ranger has completely clean equips except for the bow. Yup, clean. I have about 2.5m, low pots and nothing worth over 1m. I don't even want to know how low my damage is compared to others.
What do I win? Wink

I'm just amazed by the simplicity of some people, spending insane amounts of money on an outdated 2D pixel game while they could actually do something smarter with that money...

For me it's the same as seeing someone -rent- (not buy) a random DVD for 10.000 dollars, to be allowed to have it in your possession for couple of years (and never keep it for good), just to flaunt it to everyone... I would react the same way to that too.

I don't care about the money spent itself, I just don't get the strange thoughts that go through someones mind to just waste money on something so worth- and meaningless, remember Maplestory is not permanent, and when it gets closed in a few years, those people end up with nothing, only a screenshot... o.0

But maybe it's a just strange habit of Dutch people... The thought that you should spend your money wisely... Smile

So what do you do for fun? Video games are fun for some people.

To be completely honest, I'm more interested in the fact he got 130k even.

Maybe it's a cap?

Anyways, I think 130000 is a cap, because if you plugin 308 attack into the attack formula you get a little less than 130k, and if you plugin 309 you get a little over 130k.

If your rich, why would you care? You got plenty of money, spend it on w.e you want. say your a multi millionaire, 10 grand is cheap change. It entertains you for a year, then congrats. If not who cares your rich....thats the power of money T_T Thats why rich people buy paintings for lots of money even though they are just peices of paper with color on it.

130k seems like a weird cap since most classes would easily hit 1m per depending on the class, but it's probably better to say 1m is STILL a low cap. Only ones that have multi hit skills wouldn't be limited by the damage cap.

Auras don't affect your attack range.

Smarter is subjective, thus it'll change from person to person.
If the person enjoys using his money as he or she did or is still using them, then let them. It's their money after all, they earned them.

For example, i find it to be a waste to pay extra money just to get a special brand of clothing, for some other people this is just something you do.

I don't think it's a matter of money, or even time expenditure, or perspectives; but purely a my dad is better than your dad case. Either way, it's none of my business.

From an average player's point of view: I hunted and got these 3% equipment: top, bottom, shoes and earrings. Perhaps cape is also possible but I haven't had any luck. So maybe you could estimate the average to be 12~15%.

Yes it does.

This is why I don't even bother with keeping my second stat low. No matter what, there's going to be someone with better gear than me, so I might as well not worry about it.

I have school, a car, drivers license, downpayment for a house, bills, and rent to pay for.

Putting 10 grand on a game that has arbitrary bans isn't that important to me. For those of you who have spent over 5 ~ 10 grand and finaly made a perfect character(s), *cough*Lachrymous*cough* all thats gotta happen is for Nexon to pick a server matainance or a patch that auto-bans you for 50 years. After that they could sit back and pretend not to see your tickets because they're done with you. You don't have to spend more on nx afterwards, which is pretty logical as well since they're allowed to do it to since you no longer have to spend anything anymore to have an advantage over thousands of other players.

Steve hasn't spent a dime on this game in years. Quit making baseless and stupid fucking claims like you know what the hell you're talking about.

What, is someone here starving themself to pay for cubes?

People can use their own money for their own entertainment and enjoyment however they like. It's no different from going out all the time for movies, food, and drinks on a regular basis in that you spend money on something for personal enjoyment. That's not going to last forever, but would that stop anyone from going out to waste their money?

No, it doesn't. Unless Advanced Dark Aura does something different than Dark Aura, or it doesn't change the Battlemage's attack range or something. My Battlemage has the exact same range regardless of whether the Aura is active or not.
