You are joking me right? :f6:

I know some people from my bl that spent like 5.000 dollars only with cubes, and I had this buddy that used to spend around $1000 per month with maple, half of that with gachapon.

And why do you care so much about how someone spends his own money? Hell, our lovely administrator/overlord spent almost the same amount as the number you pulled out of thin air. Are you going to tell him he fails at spending his finances on a free game based off everything in his thread?

I think if he spent $10,000 its pretty safe to say he has a good job already :')

As much as I love my own class (when I did play Maple), this is why I'm glad I quit the game. Now everything is too easy.

Just because 1 guy has this range does not mean everyone in the server has this range.

Another example: How many people do you see with lachrymus's range on any of his chars? Is that the norm? Or is the norm still pretty much the same as it always has been and if you made a statistical model of godliness, most people that cube are in the 95~99%+ part of the curve

And that's what bugs me about some people. They see someone with godly range and they instantly disregard their own as crap when it's better than most people. :/

OT: Holy COW is allI have to say about that. o_o I'm really curious as to what his equips are.

The average player cannot even get +20% stats. This guy has like 10 times that.

To add to the 3 posts above: Are you going to feel bad because you never ever going to visit the moon? Are you going to sulk in the corner because you aint not royalty and never will be famous?
No! because most people will never even come close to the top, In games, in reality, or anywhere else. Compare yourself to the norm instead of the one or 10 guys who lost their friggin mind and spent 10k dollars on Maple or spent their entire youth trying to be admitted to NASA's space program.

Wait, wait, I didn't wash my HP, I just sacrificed pure (power) AP into HP to get more HP. In total I spend about 100 dollars on maple in about 6 years on Maple...

More then enough I would say... :+)

Good for you. What I dont' get is why you have to look down on people who spend money on this game, like you're better than them. Who cares?

Just play the game and have fun.

Average at what level? I have +21% stats and I think I'm still a little behind most 15x on gear (used 23 cubes so far, and spent maybe 8 adv. potential scrolls). I know a lot of people have 30% bossing weapons, which makes up for a lot. I don't have that cause I'm waiting for a decent weapon to cube on.

This is why I don't bother "keeping up with the neighbors" in Maplestory anymore. I'm below average and proud of it.

Someone's jealous...
Also what's with people making the stereotypical assumption about others who spend tons of money on Maple don't have a job and/or are no-lifers? Why do you care so much what someone does with their money?

Hahahaha, I only have like maybe 11% stats total at my level. What does that make me? >_>

... I still have only 3% main, 3% secondary. Granted I'm insistent on using items that can only be makered and not found. Cape, Shoes, Earrings, belt are potentialled, but I have no backups so I can't bother going any further. Also can't afford cubes or just about anything since I'm in a rut of 5 Mil. But still, last I checked, my max range was 400 below the min range of someone just 8 levels higher than me and half of someone 15 levels higher than me.

But I by no means consider myself that bad off. At least not now. I might see things that way when things get much harder to kill with BB, but for now I'm content.

Jealous? Not at all...

I'm just amazed by the simplicity of some people, spending insane amounts of money on an outdated 2D pixel game while they could actually do something smarter with that money...

For me it's the same as seeing someone -rent- (not buy) a random DVD for 10.000 dollars, to be allowed to have it in your possession for couple of years (and never keep it for good), just to flaunt it to everyone... I would react the same way to that too.

I don't care about the money spent itself, I just don't get the strange thoughts that go through someones mind to just waste money on something so worth- and meaningless, remember Maplestory is not permanent, and when it gets closed in a few years, those people end up with nothing, only a screenshot... o.0

But maybe it's a just strange habit of Dutch people... The thought that you should spend your money wisely... Smile

There are plenty of people in this world that can easily "waste" 10,000 dollars and more on things that seem completely pointless and frivolous to other people.
