Questions on the Hob King PQ

How do I know when I can do the PQ? Which quests are needed to make sure I can do it? Do I need to do the one where you go to Perion? I have the one where I need to go to Perion and the quest for all the Job Adv. NPCs...Are those needed to be able to do the PQ? I also done the Jump quest to get the Water...what was it needed for? o.o

And last question is do you talk to the Goblin guy to go into the PQ or do you go to where that portal place in in the Valley II?

You need the item called Heat bag or some such in ETC. I'm not sure if it is enough for the party leader to have it or if every party member needs it. The party leader register at Shammon in El Nath with the entire party there. Then you go to the valley.

Pre-requisites: Contract of Darkness, and every other quest up till the 4 Job Advancement NPCs ask you to get them items inside the party quest. These are just side-quests for bonus exp and are not necessary.

As for the jump quest's water, I'm fairly certain that it is used to bring Shammos back to life if he dies inside the PQ.

Edit: Yeah, I forgot about the Heat Bag etc, given by the Magician Job Instructor. Like CarrionCrow said, you're likely to need it.

You don't need the heat bag, I just completed it 3 times w/o it. All the heat bag does is reduce the extreme cold dmg or just prevents it from happening at all. I seen myself get spikes and turned blue, but its nothing life threatening, it just makes you super slow for a while.

So, then you have to do the quest up to the point of getting heat bag to be able to lead at least.
