Pretty much man, yes. I never bothered to translate my last name, but the first two are like that. I even have ru·shi·a·no tattooed haha.

I never understood this. What the pineapple is the Д doing there, it effectively makes your name sound DUH-JOHN isntead of just JOHN.

The ж character is pronounced kind of like the J in John, but without the attack. Жон would come out sounding more like Jean (pronounced all French-like) than John. The д adds that attack, making it sound right. My dad's name is Jesse, and we spelled that Джесси (again with the дж for the proper J sound).

My name just sounds like a racist stereotypical pronunciation of my name...
