It really can't unless they install a very, very, very, good server, I think. Or they move from the local hosting to a dedicated server hosting system.

Still working fine today... But yeah, I guess I'm done on the early access beta until zach stops playing. Theres nothing really much I can do until they open the 3rd boat (bonus if they open the 4th in the open beta) So I'm just gonna help zach level his Lann in the meantime... I would help you guys out as well but my schedule is in the way, the only reason I'm helping zach is because we basicly have the same schedul

Hmm, I probably should have tried this earlier, but anyone have a code I could get? I've checked the gaming sites/Basil thread, and all the codes are gone (which was expected).

I got one. Big Grin

Hey guys.
I would really, REALLY, like a vindictus early beta access key. I know that usually people don't give random newbies that just signed up keys, but I honestly you guys make an exception and PLEASE send me a beta key if you can. My email is manushel123@gmail.com

Again, PLEASE, send me a beta key if you just have one laying there I promise I will send the extra keys to members of this forum if need be.

Again, PLEASE: D

A list of Vindictus bugs I have found:

1) Mobs fall through floors when they die sometimes.
2) Market items get stuck in Mailbox
3) Unenhanced items can't be resold
4) It's really laggy at the exit to the town which does not work yet.
5) Devcat npc displays Coding text at times rather than dialogue
6) Some duel swords are mixed up in level (I think) and are stronger than higher level swords.
7) When you lag in a dungeon (3 - 4 player raids) some props freeze in mid air and remain the same until you hit them.
8) When you lag, same conditions as above, some mobs including bosses twitch around the map and tele-port for some reason.
9) Some walls are not collidable, and you can sort of walk through them.
10) Some dead mobs bounce really really high in the air when they turn to stone.
11) When you stand between a small prop and a large prop, you can pick up the large prop and hold it as if it's a small prop.

Some, if not most of does I never came accross.. also, #6 is not a glitch, the problem with does weapons is that there expansive to make.

So I tried to play this but couldn't get passed the main screen (wouldn't load, probably a graphic error) and I realised this could have been resolved by them having the option on the launch screen (like the "start game" button from the maple icon). Many games do this and it's just smart to enable players to screw with the options before they play the game so they can get it to run. I was going to suggest this to Nexon, but of course, I'm still blocked from their forums on all accounts and can't send tickets because of some invalid querystring BS that they've yet to resolve (have to wonder if they're trying to block me out completely).

Anyway, point is that I would like to request someone post a thread on their forums requesting such an option for those who can't get to the options screen within the game.

The only problem with that is that Vindictus doesn't have a launcher. When you start it up, it goes straight to the in-game main menu, where you can proceed to either log in or change the game options. If you can write out an inquiry, I can send it to Nexon for you (no promises on how soon they'll reply, though).

Dear Nexon: Please add a setup file into the folder so we can access the game's options before launch, making the game more accessible to those with computers that don't accept the defaults.

Just make a thread on the forums, I'm sure it will light up with posts from all of those who've wanted to play but can't.

Or they could make it like DragonNestKR

You press Start Game through the web then a patcher comes up (doesn't necessarily always patches, but always pops up) which includes Game options.

I believe Combat Arms has this?

Okay, I made a thread on the Nexon forums. http://forum.nexon.net/Vindictus/forums/...px#5838214

Quote:Dear Devcat and Nexon's Vindictus Development Team,

Please add a setup file into the folder so we can access the game's options before launch, making the game more accessible to those with computers that don't accept the defaults.

Another idea would be to have a launcher, much like many other popular MMORPGs, which pops up after you've clicked "Start Game" on the website or when you start up Vindictus via the "Vindictus.EXE" in the main directory that will allow you to set the in-game options (Window Mode, Graphics settings, sound settings, etcetera) before actually going into the game, which, as previously stated, would allow a much wider variety of players to start the game without any issues.

Some people, like a good friend of mine, are having problems getting in-game due to the fact that their computers cannot handle the default graphics settings. If this idea were to go through, I'm sure quite a large amount of people would be very pleased and it would help out a lot of people as far as being able to play the game.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for that and the response post, that's great. Still looking for Nexon to make it easier so we don't have to screw around like that.
Reply
I completely forgot you can do that in Source games.
Reply
Yea, it would be smart of Nexon to have settings changeable before game launch, or at least ask for them to be set before launching for the first time.

I just tried that code (had to reinstall) and it didn't work.

Holy fuck, Nexon is useless. I submitted a ticket with the same contents and INSTANTLY (literally, the SAME EXACT SECOND I submitted it), the ticket was closed with an automated message. >_>
