Which character should I continue with?
#1
Hi guys. I've come back to Maple after a break and want to change my ways. I used to be the person who would get a character to 60, then get bored and create a new one, blow NX on all these characters, and none would go anywhere. Now I'm back and determined to become more disciplined. Besides, 4th job just looks like too much fun.

I've created a poll about which of my characters I should continue with. If you have the time, could you possible write a small post explaining your choice?

Also, if you are in a server that none of my characters are in, but you need a certain job for some reason (i.e. a Sharp Eyes mule for Zakum runs), please let me know and I'd be willing to make the respective character from scratch, assuming you'd be willing to help me out a bit.

Thanks!

generally anything that you enjoy playing is the one you should be sticking with. No use playing a game where you're not having fun.

Crusader is annoying as hell from level 70 ~ 120 in my opinion, but once you get it going it's WELL worth it. It's probably one of the most rewarding classes in the end as far as what it goes through previously. Once the Big Bang comes, though, leveling from 70 ~ 120 will be so easy. I say go with your Crusader.

I definitely love the idea of a hero. But Windraiders are the only spot for me to really train and they are annoying as anything. Plus I'm Dexless without good DEX equips, so after Windraiders I'll need to get some DEX to even hit anything.
I've thought about just saving up money to leech up to late 70s, but I would feel really, really lazy.

Any alternatives to Windraiders? C-2?

C-2 is great. It may be a lot slower than Wind Raiders (I didn't really have that choice in JapanMS) but it's still a very good training spot. Forest of Golem is also pretty good, though slower than C-2. I'm not entirely sure what training spots there are in GMS, but if you have the patience, you can wait until Big Bang comes out for Brandish to be moved to 3rd job. That will help out grinding at Wind Raiders by quite a large portion. Also, after the Big Bang arrives in GMS, DEX equips won't be needed at all. You can go pure STR (equips included) and you'll hit all of the monsters around that level 100% easily.

I mean my normal training spots around this level are Windraiders, C-2, and MP3. The only one I like is C-2.
I've thought about strictly merchanting until BB is released so that I don't even have to worry about it, then buy STR % equips with the money. I think this is the best way to go, but it gets boring. Especially on Galicia.

2 choices:
-Crusader for being incredibly OP in 4th job
-Bandit when they get Shadow Partner and Flash Jump, they become incredibly hax. Have fun being one of the most mobile classes in the game, and seeing 12 number Savage Blows and 8-10 hit Assassinates.

Whatever's fun for you dude. No point in playing a class when you're not enjoying it.
I have a level 67 in Galicia, so party up if ya need some help.

My only problem with my bandit is that it was from before the Balance Patch, so it doesn't have steal. I'm relying strictly on SB to level, which is pretty slow.

What... steal is used for training? I thought it was barely used at all.

The new steal hits 4 enemies, stuns, and deals decent damage. It has great horizonal range so it mobs well at Roids/MP3.

Wait for post BB when everybody gets free SP resets.

If you want to train something before the balance patch, go for the cleric. They already train fast and have barely any pot costs.

I'm thinking more long term. I'm leaning heavily on the Sader now, but Galicia is pretty lonely. Sad

I did it twice because I couldn't decide between two of the options. I got back Hero and Shadower. I guess I'm on the right track. Excellent

That's what I'm thinking, but I don't know whether to leave it for right now and build up funds or muscle through the boring training and squeak out a few levels before BB.

i'd try to get to at least 80. that way you can dump those 30 points into brandish asap when the sp reset comes Smile
