Patch ETA and wishlist for 2010-2011

Steel Wrote:I'd say Big Bang in October and Mechanic in whatever the big winter patch month is.

Arans came out in December, so I'd say December.

Anyway, here are my predictions:

October: Hob PQ, Ghost Ship PQ, Halloween Events (maybe BB bundled in)

November: Big Bang Part 1 (Resistance if BB is in October)

December: Resistance (Mechanic if Resistance is in November)

Everyone here seems to forget that BB parts were in betwen 2 weeks, not 1 month.

But we also have to think that in KMS the 4th job patch(so I've heard) was also split up. Then we got it as one big package.

Someone seems to forget that this is gMS and not kMS.

I don't think so. Seeing as the events end on Tuesday Night one would assume thats when the new patch is. With that being in mind Tespia would have opened already.

Why does everyone assume there's going to be a Tespia open? Just because they said there was going to be one for every major patch, doesn't quite mean there is going to be one. They've lied before in the past.

I mean, for something THAT big as Big Bang Tespia is sort of essential especially with all the content that HAS to mesh in.

The meat:

October: BB preparation
Hob Gob PQ

Novemeber: Moar Big Bang preparation, and teasing

December: BIG BANG PUNCH

January: Resistance

Wishlist:
-Cheapened AP resets; I want my $1 per reset back.
-Permanent Cube packages (something like 900/700 NX for one when you buy in 5/10 respectively), normal cube buying was actually was a turn off for me when I realized I spent ~$30 in hard earned NX and only got a lolworthy 2 stat Epic overalls instead of a Unique 9% STR/6% DEX/6% HP overall. I never knew how expensive cubing really was.
-2nd pendant slot expansion
-2-3 hour 2x EXP/Drop cards in 1 time and 10/30 day versions

Some events end on Tuesday night, others end on Wednesday. Still, tespia is not necessrily needed. They do have a QA team.

i've never seen nexon announce something months prior to release, which leads me to believe big bang is coming in october. that being said, i've also never seen any substantial content patches come in october, so i really don't know!

unrealistic wishlist :

cheaper cubes or an in-game alternative.
revert mts tax back to 10%.
cheaper 4 hour 2x exp/drop cards, and more variations. (2/4/8/12/24)
custom 30 day/10 day 2x exp/drop card times. (can choose start/end time)
everlasting water of life (makes your existing pet permanent)

So then we might be looking at a Wednesday-Thursday patch.

EDIT:
NEXON Wrote:Dear Maplers,

If you are in the middle of the Visitors’ “Is It Just a Dream?” quest please do not forfeit it until completion, which you will be able to do on the 29th. If you forfeit the quest you will not be able to receive the Time Traveler Medal. The quest cannot be re-accepted and you will not be able to further participate in the Visitors event.

Thank you.

-MapleStory Team-
That should make you think the patch is on the 29th.

It makes me think the final day of the visitor event is the 29th, leading into a patch overnight from the 29th-30th, or perhaps the 30th-1st. I'm still 50/50 on BB in October or November.

Well ya they always happen at night so 29th-30th would be my highest guess. I would think though that Hob King PQ events and perhaps Ulu(low chance) will be October.

October: Halloween events
November: Thanksgiving events
December: Christmas events

These are pretty much confirmed for me. As for everything else, I have no clue. Most likely Big Bang Nov/Dec.

I'm hoping for Big Bang in October. Training right now seems absolutely pointless with the upcoming exp curve, and I want to train with purpose Rolleyes

I would forgive nexon for everything they done if they release the Zorro hat.

Holy pomegranate I want that hat so bad.

Well, we got pirates in November, which was traditionally a bad month for anything not named Thanksgiving.

Personally, I think the fact the Visitor Event was so long was to buy Nexon America some time for BB.
