The Flying Dutchman (PvN discussion thread)

This is the discussion thread. The name is because it'll be mostly for the dead people to vent, and where else would a bunch of dead pirates go?

As I said in the rules, dead players should be posting exclusively here, and not about suspicions, etc. about the game once they are dead. Live players and non-players are welcome to post here, but the same no-serious-gameplay-discussion rule applies to them as well.

I just want to post this image since I think it's how the game is going to be.

I HATE that I was kicked from the game before I even got a chance to post anything in the gameplay thread. There's a huge difference between being lynched on Day1 and killed on Night 0 - that being that I didn't get to do ANYTHING except investigate someone. Being killed before I was even allowed to post...

And now a mafia game that was basically my idea I don't get to have any part in. At all. pineapple mafia forever, I'm done with this game.[/COLOR]

We just played other games without them being able to in order to underpower the mafia and give the town a free day to investigate and learn. o-o[/COLOR]

Just because it's tradition doesn't make it right. You should never be allowing someone to sign up for a game just to remove them from it before they get to play. You don't vote someone off before the game starts in Survivor, do you? No.

Well it does suck MasPan, but detectives don't exactly have a long shelf life most games. The only reason we had anyone survive so long in the Starcraft one was because we literally had 3 of them. Lacking that, I think every other game, the detective has died within 2-3 days. Not saying it doesn't suck ass that you died before you could do anything, cause it does suck, but that's the way some games go. Hopefully you won't let that stop you from joining in again, but if you wanted to take a break after that, I wouldn't be surprised. It sucks dying without being able to do much. As I well know. T_T My goal is to last an entire game one of these days . . . but I suspect I'll end up dead like usual sometime before the end.

Corrected for you. I'm not quite as pissed now, but I'm still really irritated about the whole thing. Ah well, guess as the first person aboard the Flying Dutchman I'll be its captain. Spooky stuff :/

Promotion post-mortem is pretty common for someone who dies after meritorious action in battle.

Does that apply to pirates? Or are we secretly privateers? XP

Okay, sorry. When I first read the rules I thought this was only for non-serious discussion or dead people. (I really hate it when there are two different threads for discussion, it makes it somewhat confusing and less streamline)

In live games, the killed person on Night 0 is usually made the Narrator so that they actually get to do something. It sucks being first out, but that's the way the game works :/
