Actually F/P mages are useful in most of the stages in the PQ. But they can't really help out on bosses. If everyone knows what to do, then the PQ is really simple, especially at the bomb stage for an F/P. Mist comes in handy with rooms with a lot of mobs, like in the lights out room. Paralyze/seal/slow is useful in the room with the speedy slippery alien.
One of the ways we did it in the bomb room; first, the F/P mage can poison mist the warrior side while the other party members can concentrate and kill the dex aliens on the other side. Do not kill off the warriors yet until all dex aliens are gone from the other side. By the time all the dex aliens are gone, you can kill all the weakened warriors ones with meteo. Try to do all of this before more mobs gets spawned which is usually at around 3:00 on the timer.
Even though the dex aliens are immune to poison, they can still be poisoned when you cast fire demon on them first. Fire demon makes all resistances and immunities to neutral while making affected mobs weak to ice, so it really just takes an extra step to poison them.
Anyway, when you look at the lv120 PQ, it's not that hard; it just takes a bit of strategizing, good setups, and lots of cooperation for the most part. It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

120+ PQ was never hard to begin with. The only reason why people say it's "Hard" is because it requires coordination, which 90% of Maple lacks.
Also VIP [Invisible] Chairs is where it's at!

Easy to say for you, when you don't die in one hit :p
It's hard because some classes won't have enough hp for it until 50 levels later.

I get around 7.5k hp with full hyper body, lv 139 NL. Can't use hp equips because of the visitor suit thing. Oh, also, I washed some times.
Not even close D:

*cough* I make all of my non-mage party members put their normal gear on and just tank the cube damage. I thought everyone did F6.
Edit: You need 8.2k hp for the normal mobs in pq. 10k hp for Bully. 12k hp for speedy room. 15k hp for Aran (And Evan?). 18k hp to survive TV Magic, 27k hp to survive TV touch. 50k hp to survive bombs

Regular monsters hit around 6-7k. Some stages have those awesome bosses with like 8k damage. Then there's the boss, with 11k damage, I believe... Never got there.
And time limits don't let you die a lot.

Problem is, a single tick off from that damage is enough to make my hp below the required. D:

Ah, ok, I thought it was even less. Ok, yes, I'm just cannon fodder in there then. I thought I managed to survive a hit once or twice... D:

We do the PQ with much less HP than that. Not everyone needs to have the required amount of HP to survive in every stage; you just need to have the people to clear the rooms. As an F/P I can clear most of the rooms without any problems, so it wouldn't really matter if maybe 2-3 people just afked for the entire PQ. I'd recommend having 8k HP for a ranged class, though, just so you're not dying to everything, but one of our occasional runners only has 7.1k HP or so and he's still helpful against the boss.
Speedy room is a joke with Snipe and/or any stunning abilities. No getting hit required. Ranged classes can step out of range of the Bully's attacks. The Aran only attacks in one direction and has a limited vertical reach so you can snipe at him. Just have one person aggro it and tank its hits. The Evan does like 17500 magic (I only take about 5k, <3 partial res) but as long as it's pinned it doesn't even attack. For the visitor, most of our party only has 8~8.5k HP, but even with 13k effective HP and with a threatened boss I'm still dead if I get blocked, so it doesn't really matter how much HP you have there.

I wouldn't mind joining sometime then.

The dawn warrior aliens deal upwards of 11k with their soul driver. Luckily they're freezeable, but you'll still get hit if you weren't prepared for it. Even if you freeze it, if it started the animation... you're likely to be dead as a ranged attacker. My aran with 12,035 HP after hyper body (lvl 130), can barely survive most of the non boss stages. The easiest part to deal with is the clerics with their 2k damage. The gunners deal around 6k. The warriors near 7k maybe 8k. I definitely die at the aran boss and evan boss if i try to take them head on.
The last boss... well i'm pretty useless there. ranged 17k damage... AoE centered on him for around 15k.... So what I do is... Everyone else rushes to the top of the map. I hit him once when he spawns then run to the bottom left. He'll chase after me since I'm the only one near by. Since I'm too low compared to him his ranged attacks wont hit me and neither will his AoE. He'll chain me long before he reaches me.... it's at that point that everyone else rushes him from the right side. With me as the chained victim, my other 3 team members are free to smack him around until 1 other person gets chained. He seems to only chain 2 people at once. so this way... I guarantee that I'm one of the ones to get chained initially to have our damage output on him maximized.
Everyone else is like... lvl 17x except for me xD
I'm there cause I solo the bomb room x3
