How was everybody's 1st day of school / college / uni? What was it like? For me, this would be my 2nd year, here's how my first day went.
Today is a Tuesday, I looked at my schedule as soon as I woke up at 9:30 AM, and apparently, I have a "LAN Management/Switching" class from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyways, so I woke up, went downstairs, made coffee, and went to my basement and got my backpack and got a couple clean and new notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, along with various other things to get ready.
Believe it or not, I was rather excited since my teacher is a really cool guy that actually KNOWS how to teach, unlike most professors/teachers.. >_> That and the feeling of seeing my friends again was just awesome.
So after I packed my stuff, I took a shower, got dressed, and went downstairs and made some ramen (Starbucks Coffee and instant Ramen for brunch? Yeah, I know, I'm weird.)
So once I ate, I IM'ed my gf on MSN, and told her that I was leaving to head off for college, and I left the house at 12:00PM, 1 hour before class starts! I put on my shades and drove to college (4-minute drive, lawl).
Once I got there, first thing I did was going to the cafeteria. As soon as I walked in, I instantly recognized my friends sitting at a table. As I walked towards them, one of them yells "Oh my God, heeeeeey, it's Khoooooi-boy", and I greeted my friends with a couple handshakes, high-fives, the usual. -shrugs-
One of them looked at my schedule, and he said "Wait... it says.. you're a Freshmen..."
I raised my eyebrow, and stared at my schedule, and I said "WHAT THE HELL?", and they started questioning me if I failed any of my courses last year. I told them I did not, but however, since I have too many classes that I need to take, I might not graduate by Fall 2009. =/ So that could be a reason why my status still says Freshmen, even though technically, it's my 2nd year. >_>;
After that, I went to my class at 1:00 PM, only 3 students including me showed up. Out of 6 students anyways.. the teacher just gave us the class syllabus, blah blah blah, and he explained about Subnetting a bit here and there as a review, and then we all left.
(PS: My teacher plays "World of Warcraft", he tried to get me to play it last year since he knew I played Maple Story. <______<)
Afterwards, I went to the Book Store in the MAIN-building, and bought a bunch of books for my classes, total came out to be 488 dollars or so, for 6 books. >___>; Of course, Financial Aid covered all of this, but after I bought my books, I realized I only have 18 dollars left in Financial Aid money, so I spent 1/5 of it on 2 cups of coffee and a Rice Crispies Treats bar. >_>
Then I saw my one friend at the book store, his name's Steve. He asked me why I didn't message him on MySpace, or hung out with him, so I told him I was busy during the Summer, and I actually was.
Then he wanted to see my schedule, and it seems out of 5 classes, we both had 2 classes together. -shrugs- He asked me if I wanted to, after or before classes, if I wanted to play SSBM (Super Smash Brothers Melee) in the cafeteria, and I agreed. So starting in the next couple weeks, he might bring his Wii and we'll have a good ol' Smash-fest in the cafeteria, and everyone else can participate (and get their ass kicked by me, lawl, j/k).
Afterwards, we talked for a bit, and I left campus around 3:00PM.
Overall, this day was really fun, mostly socialization and greeting old friends, and what-not. ;] What about you guys?
PS: No "tl;dr" responses please, f7.
