Making a Warrior in KMS
#1
I have a level 20 Warrior in KMS that I'm planning to level to mid-3rd job at least over the next couple of weeks or so. I intend this to be an research/educational experience for both me and anyone who is curious about KMS/Big Bang skills. Any class preference? I was leaning toward DrK, but if I have a good reason to choose another class, I'll do it.

Dkk's should be nicer to play now, also during 2nd job, with the ground smash skill for all warrior classes! Smile

Btw, does anyone know if Iron Body (1st job +200 Wdef) and Iron Wall (2nd job DK +300 Wdef) stack together into +500 Wdef? I haven't made a warrior in kMS as well... Smile

I think I'm gonna do DrK. I'm getting Improved Fundamentals instead of Ground Smash, though. You don't need both. Currently level 25.

I think ground smash would help more than fundamentals, since all of those skills are obsolete by 70 anyway. Ground smash has better range than both PS and SB, and SB is still stronger than ground smash on 4/5+ targets without fundamentals.

Don't. Max everything but improved fundamentals. And what do you want to know about DrKs?

Hey, don't get me wrong. The whole point of this character is just for me to try stuff out. I'll put a point in Ground Smash at 30 and I'll see what I feel like doing then. It's mostly an issue of "is the range good enough?"

Plus, the last KMS build I looked at wanted me to max Gaviota on my Corsair. I think I'll do my own thing here.

The range is pretty superb. Slash Blast is just a big hassle comparatively since monsters need to be so close to be hit.

The range is pretty much exactly what it looks like, and can be jump casted. It's a good skill, and strong to boot.

What about Drk needs to be tested anyway. I'm under the impression that dual charging is kind of more pressing.

Nothing, really. It was kind of a "help me pick a class" thread. Is there a class that you'd like me to test something on?

I'm interested in how Dragon Judgement's draining effect plays out in real playing environment. But beside that, nothing really on a DK.
