Sad wish I could run for one. I still haven't even managed a 107 bow though.

I just found how to avoid dying from the bombs!!

basically, the bomb explodes at your coordinates, but if you are moving fast enough, you can outrun the explosion; most of the time anyways, and have it hit air. As I assume you have noted, the bomb timer starts the moment you get blocked. If you keep getting repeatedly blocked, you wont explode until there's a stretch where you're not and the timer reaches 0. So what you have to do is, after you are unblocked, attack 2-3 times, depending on your attack speed, and run to one side, while having jump key held down to give you more speed. Most of the time the bomb will explode a bit behind you and you'll survive.
You have to do it every time you get blocked though, and be careful of timing it right, so that you don't run into the wall before it explodes.

Eh, note that this doesn't really help too much unless you have enough HP to tank the crap that flies at you while you're blocked in the first place.

well, that's true. it's more useful for ranged attackers that hit from outside the range of said crap, or when there's a bishop around to heal you while blocked

it's by no means a no die guarantee, but you waste less time if you are successful than by reviving

Started out with 3 people, me, a BM and a Bishop. BM DC'd about 70% in and it was me and the Bishop trying to kill and after about 20-30 tries or so we got this! Smile

Any and all offers are welcome!

Is there any way to dodge the boss's bomb attack? I can't kill him myself because he hits me with it before I can kill his first form.

I noticed this when I heard the sfx for the bomb go off and saw a miss on my puppet after basically circling him. So yeah, it isn't necessarily a homing attack. There is most likely a missing animation for where this bomb should be as it goes off.

I find it hard to believe they missed an entire animation, I've chosen to believe the bomb was ment to be invisible.

I still find the best way to avoid the bomb is by fleeing to the top of the screen any time he does the lock animation.

I dunno what's worse, having the chair drop or having nothing drop...

Having the chair drop is more rage-worthy

Damn The Visitor. I'm soloing 60 pq, which means I go on my NL and a CB mule to DS/wait in a corner.

So I kill all the rooms except for bosses, use a 15 min 2x drop self buff on NL, and enter and kill MB's. Nice, I almost always get an equip. Like 90%.

And then it comes time for The Visitor. So I have my CB go in first and attack, trying to get CB seduced. But NOOOO. NL gets seduced, dies, then TV turns on my CB. Bye bye 2x drop. No use trying to squeeze you into my next pq alt F4.

They should have done the chair like the Under the Maple Tree chair from the fourth anniversary: you only get it once.
If it's not possible to make drops depend on the people present, they could make the boss drop some kind of token (like the Golden Maple Leaf) which you redeem for a random equip (or chair, if you didn't get it yet).

So far out of 8 runs, 3 nothings and 2 chairs. All on 2x drop, some on 4x.

Its turrible ;(

2x drop buffs don't work on The Visitor, he always drops 1 item. The prebosses can drop 0 so it helps there.
