I think we should call it MapleStory Zero Division. Sounds lame enough to work.

Why do so many people not want the BB patch? It seems to me to be the best thing that has ever happened to MapleStory.

Big Bang isn't what makes Pap runs 10seconds long, it fixes many of the game's not-so-outrageous-anymore imbalances -- like Marksmen sucking total dicks, Gallopera being KS carnival all year round and the like -- PLUS bringing a breath of new things and possibly experience. Granted, the basics and the core decays remain the same and MapleStory will never escape its predetermined fate of doom, why not enjoy it why it lasts.

tl;dr: I like and welcome the changes, whenever should they come.

Making up ETAs for gMS's Big Bang:

-Next coming patch? <--- low chance but possible
-October? <--- not likely
-November <--- not likely
-CHRISTMAS <--- would be an epic "present" from Nexon America and would fit logically since the biggest content boosts seem to come near winter vacation (look at 4th job).

I don't see why people feel that their levels have devalued due to Big Bang. Anything and everything you have done up to now in your life, including time spent on Maplestory, is a sunk cost. It's not coming back. Almost no amount of foresight could have prepared you for the fact that they would eventually be reducing rates by almost 80% and redesigning the whole game. Any sunk cost is irrelevant to future decision making.

Time spent having fun is never time wasted. Did you have fun getting all of those levels? If so, then you have lost nothing. If not, then why the hell are you playing a game you don't like?

I just don't see the logic here. Please point out where I'm wrong.

This is purely for the sake of playing devil's advocate: The exact same thing happened when Neo Tokyo Part 2 was introduced making it hundreds of times easier to get to level 200 than before. Lots of level 200 players peached but in the end was literally flooded with new level 200 (everyone and their grandma has a level 200 character in JMS now). Their "exclusive" position in Maple World went down within a year. People who had no problem going into HT parties now had to network to get in and even then the competition was fierce (so fierce, someone hacked one of the smaller servers and downed it; the majority of servers had someone locking horntail out of sheer hatred). While having content be exclusive to people who grind for hundreds of hours may not be fair, it's also not fair that people who've spent the time to get those exclusive contents have it taken away from them right as they finished grinding. I personally thought grinding past my current level is stupid because my job can't participate in 90% of high-level content from lack of HP and firepower but a lot of others had. Grinding is painful and torturous; the only point of it is to gain something, something which gets taken away entirely in the end unexpectedly. It's like you spend years grinding to challenge Pink Been and everyone (including Pink Been) gets a huge leg up. Years of grinding, gone. which is sort of what happened to FFXI players.

Every class got their DPS increased a ton, into about the same range, but all mobs had their HP increased, especially bosses. If we got all these skill changes without any mob changes, the game would be completely broken. But it's not.

You clearly have no idea what your talking about. If Big Bang was GMS or MSEA made, sure. KMS? No. KMS doesn't have the private server problem.

Big Bang does make most of the existing bosses insanely easy, but it also sets the game up for more content. I think 30 second Pap solos are totally fine. Not like there's much point to fighting Pap at 160+ anyway.

How about Maplestory : The Awakening ?

Anyways why are you complaining? This is a great update that helps a lot of people(myself included). For real shut up all of you are acting like whiny kids who cant get there way! Also why would they release a statement saying "lol we suck at naming shat you do it" if they were not releaseing the patch for like 4 months? That makes no sense.
