Critical rate question
#1
Ok, this question is in my head now. How does maple determine critical damage when the player don't actually have critical but just increase in critical rate?
thing is this. I have Crushed skull which give me 12% critical rate from Potential.

 Spoiler

How is my critical damage calculated because i have no other critical equips, just that skull? Or is my critical damage just pretty red numbers which actually are my normal damage? Being BW with horrible mastery don't help the damage output much so can't really tell if the crit hits are higher than normal hits or not Hurt

Prove i hit crits:

What's your range? I know for AMs the potential criticals do 200% damage.

Go to snails without any damage modifiers and post a SS of your critical damage.

Pretty sure it gives you a free +100% damage. I'd do that test though.

Any idea if that counts for critical classes as well or just for classes without crit?

At this point the crit haven't go above my normal damage. Maybe because im BW and chances having crit on high hit is really low or the crit just don't give me any actual boost O.o Will deliver some screenies in a bit.

Ok, screenies:

Crits never went above my normal damage. This mean i eather have horrible luck with crits or they give no boost for warriors? Hurt

Bowmen and Assassins need to max a skill to score that high, so it doesn't make sense for it to be an arbitrary number any class can reach.

And yeah, since you don't have and equips or skills that increase your critical damage, you'll just be getting pretty red numbers with no effect. On the plus side, you can probably find a nice MM/BM/DB to leech onto for bosses and such.

Ok, thought so. I will keep this weapon as it is tho, no more cubing. After BB comes, my blast will go through the roof with this weapon! But for now im enjoying pretty red numbers then.

I know for magic damage it gives 100% extra damage. With lightning bolt on my Evan the highest non-crit I saw was about 1.7k, and the highest crit I saw was about 3.4k.

I was just generalizing the +100% for mages over to other classes. Guess it's not true.

I don't have screenshots but I have a 4% crit weapon.

Min Blast I've seen (560%, base 2834-7178) was 18600. The trouble with 4% crit is it takes about 40-50 seconds to get a single crit.... but that 18600 indicates a maximum of 656% on critical strike, which is less than 100%.

Also, the crits never work on regular attacks. Lol.

It does for ranged jobs

It's +10% critical damage but only if you have no other source of critical damage at all.

So is 100% increase for mages a bug?
