Item drop rates.

Is there anyway to get into the code and figure out the exact number(percent, decimal w/e) for an items drop on monsters?
Because I know in Ragnarok Online, it was very simple to find out and would make life pretty interesting if you could. lol

Hi Fellow RO player.

Item drop rates in Maple seem to be server based, not client based like in RO. So it's impossible as to now to know the percentage drop of items.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were contained in server data leaked from various Nexon subsidiaries around the world, but the legality of that would be dubious.

I read if you want a statistically viable drop rate analysis, you need twenty to thirty drops of that drop. It's unreasonable to expect someone to collect thirty very rare drops so it's impossible to find out from this side of the formula.

Reference:
The probability Q of drop rate p falling between p1 and p2 when you obtain m drops from defeating n monsters:

Sounds perfect for Southperry. I've released full drop tables before from BMS, but they're horribly outdated now.

Anyway, drop tables from mobs are not in the WZ files. They sort of are with the monsterbook data, but with that feature being removed who knows when it will be updated next. Also, monsterbook does not include drop rates. Some drop tables can be gathered from consumable boxes (like those 5th anniversary things that gave leaves), but not from cash shop boxes (cash shop surprise, gachapon).

@Fiel

I allways wondered how you found out the percentage of the boxes.
