kMS videos after revamp.
I'm surprised he doesn't have decent haste/SE/hb with all the unique stuff he's packing.

S'hit goes down? He doesn't even know how much he's attacking or what his average damage is like. He's ohkoing everything and striking again even though the monsters are all dead.

I bet he was just showing off. Just like what the purpose is here.

Abysseon Wrote:Hmm, here's a 134 F/P Archmage at dojo. It shows a great showcase of DoT stacking, specifically
at manon/griff:

Manon Fight:

At 8:31, he uses Elemental Composition causing 5,076 DoT.

At 8:35, he uses Paralyzes. The DoT becomes 15,076.

*more skills*

From 9:30 - 9:38, he spams Paralyze and no DoT is displayed.

So...there's only two things that this comes to:

1.) Spamming Paralyze (other duration skills) cancels any DoT during the repeated use.

2.) Spamming Paralyze will simply display the damage from Paralyze alone while any
current DoT is still in effect. But you just can't see it... >.>

^I'm leaning more towards this idea. Otherwise, what's the point of the kms archmages
wasting time casting Poison Mist/EC when you can just spam Paralyze?

163 F/P Archmage using mist at Dodo (Move the map!!! DSmile:

Agreed, otherwise that would ruin the point of DoT on most boss monsters. Better than what I was thinking earlier, that Paralyze didn't cause DoT damage when being spammed which took away the thing that made F/p's useful to boss runs(especially in Boss runs such as Pink Bean where the PDR/MDR is really high)

IImaplers Wrote:Lol @ 163 Dodo video. If only we could clearly see the DoT damage. I'd like to know this about DoT: is it affected by infinity and it's 4-6 seconds magic att increases? If it is +1

At the Dojo video Griffy was weak to poison and as such the DoT damage was also increased, of course this should be expected with a Poison-weak monster, but none the less it raises my hopes that DoT damage is raised by Elewands and Infinity.

That Hero is crazy :f6:

Of course he was showing off. He spent a good minute and a half just mousing over his gear. That said, showing off looks a lot more impressive when you actually look like you know what you're doing.

Infinity does not affect DoT. In the pandora.tv video Abysseon posted the previous page, the guy has infinity on nearly all the time, yet his Paralyze’s DoT remains at 37316the whole time. I guess Infinity is like Amp, and doesn't change the stat window damage numbers.

E-wands are a different matter altogether; there’s no way to prove anything yet, but I don’t think they will boost DoT either, because only three things seem to determine DoT damage: the skill’s own given DoT %, your max stat window range, which is multiplied by that number, and the monster’s own elemental properties against the skill’s – poison weaks take extra poison-based DoT damage, fire-resistants take less fire-based DoT damage. There'd be no room for e-wand multipliers to come in.

I haven't completely watched it so I don't have an opinion about it.

Only because the player sucked ass. I'm not liking the clumsiness of the class either way.
