Looking for some trades...

I recently figured out how to get my DS online from home and would like to get some pokemon on Heart Gold that were previously unavailable to me, though I'm not entirely familiar with the GTS or whatever it's called. One pokemon I'm specifically interested in getting is Groudon from Soul Silver (I've got Kyogre and will trade (hopefully trade back unless someone has a spare or something...)) so that I can get Rayquaza.

I'd like any legendaries I can get too. I'm not a fan of hacked pokemon but unless they'd glitch my game, I don't mind. But really, I'd prefer legit.

Any help I can get is suuuuuuuuuper appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it has to be a Groudon from SoulSilver to get the Jade Orb from Professor Oak.

How exactly does this work? I spent a few minutes in the GTS and I got the option to either deposit a pokemon or search for one, but Groudon wasn't on any list. Does it only show pokemon I've seen, or does it only show the ones others have deposited? How exactly do I know what's coming from you?

Basically, I need a rundown of the GTS.

The GTS only shows pokemon that are in your pokedex, captured or not.
Then you can just put a pokemon up for trade for it or search it and trade something for it.

You'll want the wireless lobbies to do trading with people, GTS is just for random people/overnight trading.
I'm sure I have the SS groudon, if I do, you can have it until you get Rayquaza.

I'm now looking for someone to help me transfer a lucky egg from HG to Pearl, haha. Or if there's a way I could do it myself with only 1 DS and without any douche stealing it.. like via the GTS. I doubt that's possible though. So yeah if someone could take a few minutes to just act as a middleman for me that would be spectacular.

I'm going to leave this for a couple of days to see what comes up instead of jumping on it immediately. Any help is appreciated.

Arceus i can give you. its legit in that i used a cheat to get the item to activate its event in the spear pillar, but otherwise its legal. dont care if you keep it or not.

I gotta beat the elite four in Pearl before I do anything though so yeah. I'm on my way up to the plateau right now.

Also, what the frig is wrong with people on the GTS? I was just trying to get a Gengar, Machamp, Golem and Alakazam. Kind of expecting someone else to be doing the same so we could just swap Machoke <-> Machoke but everyone on there is like MACHOKE <-> DIALGA LV. 9 OR BELOW.

I managed to swap a Haunter for a Graveller and got a Golem, though. It was honestly the only reasonable trade I saw on the entire GTS.

There's a glitch with the GTS where you can Pokesav Pogeymen and then give it to yourself through GTS.

Yeah, it's considered 'hacked', but you don't have to deal with little kids who don't know how to use GTS properly.

that, or people just enjoy trolling the GTS. it honestly is hard to find a trade via search, but depositing something there to find another poke in exchange usually works out well. odd.

So... is anyone on?
