Maybe you’re happy, maybe you’re dreading it, but it’s that time of year--school’s back in session! It’s OK though, MapleStory’s got some awesome events guaranteed to get your school spirit up!


Schoolyard Bullies
There isn’t a Mapler who hasn’t been bullied by Mano, Stumpy, and the like at least once. Perhaps you haven’t stood up to them because you thought the reward wasn’t worth the risk. But Ms. Cassandra is going to help you get over your fear by offering you more EXP for beating down these over-grown mooks! Talk to her once a day between September 1 and September 28, 2010 and show these bullies who’s boss around here! She’ll even map-warp you to where the bullies lurk.


Times Tables
Quick--what’s 3 x 2? What’s 3 x 3? Why do we ask? Because you’ll need to know this if you participate in this event. Between September 1 and September 28, 2010 log in and stay logged in for an hour. After that, every third monster you eliminate will give bonus EXP. But that’s not all! Stay in-game longer to gain even more bonus EXP! Multiplication tables coming in handy--who knew?

I think the +% EXP has a 100 base. Since logging in for 1 hour would give you +30% meaning 130% exp, not 30%.

since patch .89, if i leave my computer for more than 15min doing nothing, with maple open(minimized, windowed, full screen) it just close w/o any error. and after that, nothing works, task manager wont open, i cant press on the start button, and so on.. win7 32bits.

This is obviously wrong. Notice how the first bonus is 30%? They aren't going to cut your exp for every third monster (i.e. 100, 100, 30) for being logged in for an hour.

It'll be 100, 100, 300, so 1.66x like saptazapta already said

I suspect this 1.66x is going to stack with family rep, since they seem to be entirely different mechanisms.
If that's so... this is the month for draining the rep mules, before bb renders them useless.

I can only imagine how bad people will rage when they accidentally kill a jr wraith on the third monster instead of BF.

No, Spirit Week has been around two other times before Potential was even out in kMS and Sunday has always been like that. It only refers to the item's regular stats.

I'm expecting a lot of deaths from levels 66-80 trying to kill Snowman.

A few things Im seeing from this event:

1. Schoolyard bully event is like a free daily vip to Victoria Island or Ossyria
2. They set an expiry date on the owls/tele rocks this time...last year, they had no deadlines, and I stockpiled on them.
3. If timed right, the 200% exp every 3rd monster could be really useful for bossing (ex. getting 2x exp on pap's 2nd body).

probablyy not..but who knows.
