Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the second.

Due to the low popularity (and fugly monsters and models) that RO2 Gate of the world had the developers decided to recreate the game from scratch and do what they did when they made RO"1" Inovate.

The clsoed beta starts in 2 daysand the open beta starts in september 8-9 (This is purely based on the day that the closed beta ends)

ROLTS features a brand new system, the Dual life system,This system allow the character to have a battle job (Warrior,Mage,Acolyte,Thief and Bowman) and an alternate proffesion (Blacksmith,Chef,Doctor and Tailor). Players also have the option to become NPCs after they log off and this way lend their service to other players, the user will gain money by doing this.

Another brand new system is introduced, the Charisma system, this allow characters to alling into good or evil by using points that a character will get in battle and through completing some quests, This allows a brand new grade of customization because some skills work in a completly diferent way depending on your "Charisma".

I tried RO once, and I didn't like it, but this looks kind of interesting, I might try it out once it's OB.

I was wondering when they were gonna reopen RO2. Its pretty ambitious imo to go all the way into beta with their first build, and then remake it completely.

Ro Gate of the world was HORRIBLE, so that's why they totally remade it.

The battle them was catchy, but it got VERY annoying after 100+ battles.

I might give open beta a try. The lack of Merchants is very disappointing.

I thought of that too, but they said that they took the out because people only sued them to sell stuff and make potions (Genetics and mechanics however were very centered in fighting) So then, they decided to make them some sort of sub-jobs, also they said that there are still more Dual Life proffesions to come.

I just hope that a homunculous system will be implememnted in the future.



On a side note, This game takes place after RO1 when The godess Freya has aweakened. It is thought that RO and RO2 may get to a point where they cross storylines.

Not a single gameplay video has been shown, so for all we know, it could be played kind of like dragon nest or vindictus.

Gate of the world was point and click and very lame but acording to the developers Legend of the second will be totally diferent from Gate of the world, so dont base your opionion on the "Random Gameplay" video.

Was able to watch the video this time, and i dont think my crappy laptop will handle this

maple is better imho, just because of the key combos and junk.

The Closed beta is opening tomorrow and here is some minor info.

Archers will not be able to advance into musicians anymore, they will have the option to be either snipers or hunters, the difference betwen each is unknown at the moment.

The city of prontera is still in the game, however it seems that it is the only city form the past game to exist in the new world.

No.. >_< It's the Korean version, Hoever the American and global versions should begin to be tested in no more than 2 months.

Hmm, I probably won't be able to check it out until the beta hits US shores, but if I have time I may try to wander through the text I can't read since Vista and MS don't mix now anyway. Besides RO was my MMO prior to maple (albeit a 7x rate private server) and I enjoyed it quite a bit then making a character of each sub-class (favs being assassin-cross and priest if I remember the names right). I was wondering when they'd finally pick up RO2 again. Hadn't read up on it AT ALL, so I thought it had gone the way of the 3D remake of Chrono Trigger.

I'll admit though a few months ago I found that official had a free server and gave it another shot and I couldn't really get into it again. Tried out the new gunner class then got trapped in boundaries of that job advance town. Then tried to get a theif running, but that town had apparently been destroyed by some big ol' bad guy.

Still, never hurts to try.

The closed beta started and the servers got overloaded with peple and crashed in less than an hour ._.

They needa apply the video ram amount :c| My laptop might be stuck with 128 MB dedicated and ~1 gig shared, but that doesnt mean it will play the game.
