You got it legally, some way, somehow.

What would you do once you got in there?

Get someone who knows how a server really works to look at it and fix all the crap Nexon did to it. That or just wreck the thing some more for no reason other than the fact that it's fun.

Track down every single person who has ever hacked someone else's account, nick all their stuff and return them to their rightful owners. The stuff that wasn't stolen by the hackers I will keep for myself. Hoho.

Plus I will log in to their accounts and act like a total jerk to make everyone hate them, then delete their characters. I will dissolve whatever guilds and stuff they have.

In short, I will give them hell.

No you're more of a white scammer (シロサギ. You're only sadistic if you take pleasure from seeing other people in pain without any extrenuous circumstances that warrants it. Higurashi might seem sadistic at face value but I have the feeling it's wholelly justified. Otherwise I doubt ordinary Japanese people would flock to movie theaters and watch it.

Before I would've done things to help myself, my friends and people I like while destroying the accounts of those I hate, but now I realize that it is the system which causes individuals to behave in one way or another, giving them incentives and disincentives. I would fix the program myself but I know better than to try and reconstruct a several hundred-million dollar product by myself. It would take days if not months to fully implement changes to the system that would prevent things like scamming and KSing which would be longer than the time I have to access the servers.

I might change the icons of similar/identical looking items, change time-spawns to normal spawns, free up zakum, horntail and pink been on all channels, duplicate popular maps, fix broken quests and nerf lucky seven and triple throw. Those might be possible within several hours.

ROLLBACK TO 1987

- Instantly ban any user who gets one of the "8 Enhancement" notices.
- Get rid of that garish yellow color used for "xxx mob" quests.
- Remove direction signs.
- Merge the 4 worlds that came out after Mardia into 2, or possibly 1, world.
- Restore channel 20.
- Cut out unnecessary data to bring Maple way under its current 2GB status.
- Completely eliminate any trace of the 7th Day Market.
- Yell at the workers to not screw up Big Bang.

If I got into the server (database) illegally, I'd be careful to not get caught. Minute changes like finding a mule account of mine and giving it rare stuff? I don't play much, so I'd probably just screw around with hackers.

If I had access to the server files, I'd look up that bMS Files Setup Guide and try to set up my own server, then spam the files all over teh interwebs.

Add 21 channels to every server before yellonde
Put zakum on channels 5-20
Make all colors of chats customizeable (like being able to make alliance chat any color besides lime green)
Make guild leader switchable
Add a F'UCKING CLOCK to the game (with appropriate timezone changes possible)
Fix aqua d/c
Fix all bugged mobs in nlc/cwk. I'm looking at you, godmoding wolf spiders, and no-kb bigfoot.
Make EVERY popular training map a minidungeon
And many many other things.

TRANSFORM EVERY AND EACH WORLD INTO TESPIA SO THAT TESPIA WOULD FINALLY RULE THE WORLD

On a serious note, though, I would probably go through the code and.. 'study' it. It'd be interesting to see how several things in the game are coded. Also, I'd INDEED make a server with them to play alone or with friends (wouldn't make it public though). I'd do all the new job's (Aran, Evan, Dual Blade, etc.) quests (level 200 ones and others) which I didn't manage to do in the official servers. Then... I don't really know.
