Statistically speaking, letting Ray do the RNG gives the town the best chance to lynch mafia. Day 1 vote from any town is no better than RNG, while a mafia vote definitely won't target its own faction.

And to be honest Infection says he doesnt want a random vote yet he randomly votes for me. I wasnt blaming steelseraph, I was trying to make sense of the clue that was given to us.

You didn't really make sense of it though, and since there doesn't seem to be a concrete way to link it to anyone, it seems pretty unlikely that it was actually intended as a clue. Ray is being deliberately ambiguous about the nature of the quote, but I'm inclined to believe it is not a clue.
