The Visitor Event Guide/Discussion.
For levels 120+'s you get about. . . 200 medals a day.

As I have noticed the more you upgrade your armor the less damage you take and the more you deal out. And since you need all four apparently avoid damage while inside the cube and from the boss it's also possible that the armor will affect the damage you deal to the boss. And since you only deal more damage when the armor has your main stat on it this could mean everyone who is scrolling for int (except mages) could be screwed when it comes to the boss.

Of course this is nothing more than a theory.

Interesting. I have noticed that I deal more damage with the full set and a garnier than I do with just the bing glove and a lampion. I have scrolled them with INT, around 7+, I´d say the difference in damage is 200 or so right now.. So there is a damage increase from simply wearing the full set. Hopefully it is just the number of scrolls that increase the damage and not the actual stats, just like it does with DEF. Would make the most sense, 12x4 scrollings worth of LUK would be a piss in the Nile compared to my total LUK regardless, so why would it make an artificially bigger difference here? Logic and my observations so far make me inclined to believe number of upgrades are whats important.

So high level people get a lot, and I'm getting 23 medals per quest and around 500 from the start.

What the hell kind of quest panders to higher levels? Ridiculous.

I'm glad I only need to wear the overall to kill aliens--I can't equip my gun without my shoes and hat...

Yup. It's the Upgrade Slots that counts. I've noticed increase of damage done and reduction in damage received on a character with Visitor armor using just Connection Cells (Speed, Jump, Accuracy, Avoid).

By the way, in case some of you guys missed it:

Loose Wrote:On level 35 Gunslinger:

Helmet: +1 Roora Core, +1 Speed Connection Cell = Powerful Visitor Helmet.
Overall: +1 Hase Core, +1 Speed Connection Cell = Dexterous Visitor Overall.
Gloves: +1 Hase Core
Shoes: +1 Hase Core, +1 Speed Connection Cell = Dexterous Visitor Shoes.

Getting the first bonus from Visitor Set (+20 Defenses).

Testing done on Level 33 Page. The Cells description is missing stats:
+ 1 HP
+ 2 Weapon Defense
+ 2 Magic Defense
+ 1 Avoid/Accuracy/Speed/Jump

Avoid Cell transforms into Power Visitor gear.
Accuracy Cell transforms into Lucky Visitor gear.

What level do you have to be to get them from the start? I didn't get any medals.. I've only got 17. 1 from the hour long quest from the maple admin, 15 from the first of the three daily ones, and 1 from i dont know where.

edit : Nevermind, I just got 320 from that scientist dude.

when i first did it, that dude gave me around 1000 medals for talking to him, then he gave me the fame quest and party quest.

I wonder how many times i will have to upgrade my armor though Sad

On my level 6x character, I received 404 medals after first talking to the guy and 25 or so medals after completing all 4 quests. Assuming I'll never have another 404 medal reward "talk to xxx guy" quest, is there anyway to speed up this rate? This event is so dull, and the exploits and SCs are not making MapleStory more interesting either.

I lose so much damage just from wearing the gear (about 25% of my range) that there's no way adding str scrolls instead of int would make any appreciable difference in return.

My only concern is accuracy, I drop to about 100 acc with the full set equipped.

I'll have to compare my damage with 1 piece of armor to multiple though.

Really the big concern I have is that 2nd job DBs who hit 8 times per attack do 8x as much damage as me, 16x as much with SP. If the boss turns out to use the same nerfed damage system, I'm really boned.

my gear is +6 on all of them but i've only used stats o_o No visitor junk.

I was going to do the quests on all my characters. Got to the Page character and stopped... Warriors are screwed in this system.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but you only need to wear one piece of the armor to hit the aliens..

Then how should I scroll my equips once I get them?

From what I've seen and tested, appearance is based on the Core of the first slot.

For example, I want the yellow visitor gear on my Shadower because it looks awesome, but I want it to also increase my damage. So I went Roora Core (STR) on the first slot of every piece, then continued with Urene Cores (LUK). I'll end up with a Powerful Visitor (yellow) Helmet with +1 STR, +xx LUK; Powerful Visitor (yellow) Gloves with +1 STR, +xx LUK; etc.

so if we didn't use the same core on every piece's 1st slot, we essentially won't get the visitors gear?

Each equipment is independent.

oh goody thank you Big Grin

It doesn't matter what you scroll the Visitor equipment for, as far as I can tell:
 Spoiler
I'm guessing the number of cores applied is what improves the damage.

how many times/day the quests can be done? 3 times?
