Some random guy in the research room said you get to the visitor armor just by upgrading the Bing stuff.

I put a whole lot of cells on my helm and it didn't upgrade, i'd like a better description...

After the surprise SC is over:

You need to upgrade to +12 EVENLY (or scroll evenly the 12 pieces, wasn't that clear on the instructions) before being able to focus on one single piece. You get medals by doing missions, faming a random person, doing PQs, so on and so forth.

I got 1256 (or something near that) Medals on my 130 Buccaneer from the start. Then 60 for each set of quests I completed.

After the surprise SC is over:

Each piece only needs to be upgraded 12 times to reach visitor status, or do they have to be fully upgraded? If they all have to be fully upgraded, that's a solid 3600 medals, and I started with 1261. If it's only 12 upgrades per item, that'd at least bring it down to 2400 medals.

Edit for the ninja above: Suddenly, getting the remaining medals sounds fairly easy. A good 19 or 39 quests (there were 4 that could be repeated 3 times daily, and then two others for fame and PQing) to upgrade all the items to Visitor status. I'll probably focus on the overall, though. +30 int sounds pretty good to me.

what about weapons then? could be faked but apparently someone on basil posted an image of themselves with a vip weapon.

Yeah, I was thinking 1260 was an odd number for that quest to award me, I was Level 129 when I finished it, and then got an extra medal from Wynn. Odd how the 130 Bucc above me got only 1256, when he's a level higher than I am, though.

Perhaps I actually got 1256 too, and then got 5 from Wynn? I wasn't paying very much attention... hm.

It kinda makes sense for it to be level related, since you need those to upgrade to visitor equips, and high level people need more of those to actually get something worth anything.

I got 1260, too, and I'm level 122. I specifically remember seeing that number when I received them. Maybe the bucc made a mistake? It doesn't make much sense for him to get 4 less at a higher level.

In short, Stage 2 of the visitor event randomly started with little to no notice, though it looks official.
Around the same time, channels and servers started crashing, the rumor is channel crashing hacks are back, though it hasnt been fully confirmed yet.

Well, stage 2 opened a few hours ago, you get to hunt aliens, you get to use the Bing suit, you get medals to upgrade said suit.... Well, you get to once the SC ends.

That's helpful information, so now I know how to get a Powerful Visitor helm. Favorite of them all, to be honest.

I remember reading on Basil that only 20 slots can be added to equips through the special items. Is there any truthful proof of this?

Edit: I know it's Basil and they are commonly incorrect. Curious though if anyone has any confirmed information though.

1260 on a level 100. So yeah.
